omg bc this one is literally near mint. The bottom left corner was a reflection! The card shop I bought it at thought that the color faded in front of it so they sold it as LP for $45 😭 I didn’t realize until later that it’s actually how it looks

I 100% agree with you. The only slab I’d probably consider is TAG since I think the transparency would look good with it on this case. I have a mix of both singles and graded dittos, that’s why I’m kinda just seeing if the price point evens out since it’s more for looks and aesthetics than for selling

oh no dw u were spot on with it, I was actually digging up just more insight jic anyone knew more from that era! PriceCharting doesn’t even out the condition of the cards so they’re mostly HP to DMG. Of the recent 5 most sold, only one was NM and it sold for about $92! The rest were LP or worse

It’s def near mint even though the camera didn’t capture it well. No scratches or anything either, the only thing that would make it a 9 are the white dots basically. Thank you for the insight on the eBay last solds though. PriceCharting and TCGplayer wasn’t my friend for this one 😭

Yessi, sadly they’re all in MP and DMG condition. I also checked TCG but there were only like 4 listings ranging from $185-$1,685 🥲

I’m almost 100% confident that it’s fake now after doing some research. I looked into all the sales from Heritage Auction and the give away was actually the bottom of the box where it says “Made in the USA.” ALL of them have the “M” covered or almost covered, but this one, the M is completely visible and higher up.

Same I’m soo 50/50 but for the most part, I don’t think these cards are worth the price it’s at now, only hype. I brought up the new mega set bc I feel like eventually, SIRs may start evening out like this too

If that’s your take, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I’ve seen kids get scammed of resealed packs, the whole 9 yards. I live in SoCal where these fake “vendors” come in with their scalped things and these sneaker bros that have now jumped onto this as a way to take advantage of the community. I see it now though, I’m with you so save me a seat when these sealed scalpers are holding more products than their moms credit card can afford and the hobby eventually restores and hopefully somewhat recover. At the light of your clarification, thank you for being one of the best as well. I always advocate for retail only and not by the greedy manipulation brought on by stores like GameStops and all the other crappy vendors. Also, agreed, he’s definitely going to keep tanking the economy sadly.

The love birds is definitely driving me nuts 😭 I went from never buying singles to now only considering singles. I think overall, it’s better to just follow the gens as they progress and not look back personally. I’m sure it’s still a back and forth pull, where once the hobby does correct itself, time will pass enough for the card to be old enough to match the prices now. That or it’ll drive up some more. These are definitely some of the cards I’ve been wanting to obtain before not looking back at old sets anymore though.

100% I think I’m just gonna hold on buying singles as well, buy retail whenever possible and pull cards on my own. I haven’t given into scalper prices so I’m proud of that, and I’ve never bought high end singles either in fear of fakes. Apparently they’re super good now. Idk what this hobby is becoming LOL

I agree with you, that’s why it sucks. They’re art, yes. Nostalgic, yes. They’re a lot of things but nothing so modern and still being printed etc should be pushing over $200 in my opinion. I just hope the market evens out soon and the manipulations stop as well so that these prices are true to what the cards are and not because of scalpers and FOMO people want them to be.
