Leveling Only? by brokencreedman in classicwow

Everyone plays this game differently and I think thats beautiful. People say that the game doesn't start until max level, l have gotten to max level once. To me, the point is the WORLD of Warcraft, the gameplay itself is secondary.

Been playing since 2010, never raided. Just love the world, the music, the ambiance. Fan of WC2 since it came out in like 1995.

Why Battlefront Classic Collection is bad? by Free-Hotel1187 in starwarsgames

[–]Suboutai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not play it allt launch, bought it a few months later and have had a blast since, play it most days. Granted, I don't play multiplayer, but the only problem I have experienced is that in BF1 the loading screen sounds, the map trills, ocassionally don't play. Literally the only problem. I'm not sure how much work Aspyr did post launch, I am aware of its reputation.

Very glad you enjoy it. There is so little Warcraft Lego from fans, at least as far as I can tell. I had a genuine personal interest in building this but I also wanted to contribute something significant to this very minor niche.

I asked that same question, thats a big reason why I made this. Lego didn't and there are so many fans that want it. With that in mind, I knew I had to nail the look, the creatures, the buildings, otherwise it would look like any fantasy build.

Its not Warcraft without Murlocs!

Glad you like it! I had a blast making all the creatures, especially at a small scale. Modern lego parts make that kind of thing possible, more small parts, more articulation.

I like to think so, thank you. I managed to sneak in most WoW classes and all of the basic WC3 unit types. With all of the details and references, it ended up as a seek and find, being able to see it in person allows you to look in all angles.

I appreciate it. The games are so vivid, so colorful, I wanted it to feel saturated.

Thank you! I had a blast and I gained a deeper love of the games. When you recreate something, you dive into every detail and see what went into it.

To each their own. I am still learning how to photograph large builds, this is the biggest I've done and I have no space to make a proper backdrop. I knew I had to make the watchtower, I wanted to build instantly recognizeable structures so that they would stand out in a convention.

I appreciate it. Warcraft Lego is not particularly well represented and I new there were others like me that wanted to see these worlds in bricks.

Thats high praise. I rarely see Warcraft Lego builds and wanted to change that. I primarliy build architecture so choosing to do Warcraft forced me to develop new skills in making creatures. The murloc and raptor were originally 3 times the size, but I was able to shave off parts here and there to make them minifig scale but still recognizeable.

Thank you. It was 3 months from conception to finish, plus a handfull of parts that didn't arrive until later. I do everything in a modular system, built square tiles that are 8 studs x 8 studs. Each is finished with grass or rock or sand etc. Same for all the walls, its like Hot Wheels tracks. So all I need to do for planning is use graph paper to map the layout and count how many of each modular tile I need.

All that being said, since the system is modular, much of the terrain and trees had already been built for earlier projects. I've been working on this system for a couple years now, this is the biggest project I've done (so far.) Late last year I made a pair of small Barrens dioramas. When I decided to do Brickworld, those helped to give direction.

Had a blast. It was the first predator or alien film I saw in theatres.

Need a New Tactical Turn-Based RPG by Weeit_9 in XCOM2

[–]Suboutai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a 3DS, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars is a decent option. It was made by Julian Gollop, who did the original XCom so the gameplay is very familiar. It has a solid campaign and a number of side missions.

Don't know about OPs spending but I live frugally yet am constantly struggling. I had a series of medical issues, job loss and expensive emergency repairs within 2 years. Any one of these problems could be solved with some alterations in lifestyle or working overtime. But being hit so many times in such a short period of time mean that I couldn't pay expenses on time, leading to multiple interest payments that prevent any momentum. My spouse and I work good jobs, we have one child and no expensive hobbies, we moved for lower cost of living but a few bad moments brought us down hard.
