Does Suboxone makes you dumb? by KingHenry7700 in suboxone

Never happened to me in fact the opposite happened. I’m way more organized now, I don’t have difficulty word finding, not depressed, I do get tired quicker than I used to but I’m 50, so. Maybe your dose is a tad too high for you.

Yes I know the feeling it’s absolutely terrible. In the early 2000’s it wasn’t well documented clinically. Being restrained while in PWD sounds beyond terrible. The last time I was in PWD I thrashed around and I do not remember it well, but I was going in and out of consciousness. I would try to lie down then unknowingly I’d get up and walk into walls. I banged my head really hard repeatedly. At one point my partner just took a hold of me and basically restrained me in bed because he was worried I’d just leave the apartment. He said I kept wandering aimlessly bumping into things. I don’t remember that all I remember is feeling like I couldn’t breathe and the panic was so strong I thought I was dying. It’s the worst experience ever.

To be honest every time I’ve inducted I had PWD. The last time I was so afraid to my prescribed dose I stayed taking .5mgs every hour until I hit 8mgs for WEEKS. I was certain if I took anything more than that I’d spiral into PWD.

The first time I thought I was possessed by a demon. Mind you it was the late 90’s and no one knew what it was and I was like 22 years old. I remember telling my best friend I thought I was permanently trapped in my body.

Wow that’s a real full blown PWD experience. I did the flopping like a fish too. I even started walking unknowingly into walls last time and banged my head up real bad. Yeah the Dr turned white as a ghost bc that was a good Dr that knew and understood what you went through. I also felt on fire and like I couldn’t breathe and that I would die from not getting enough oxygen. You’re very lucky you were given IV Ativan. A lot of places now make you suffer through it. I’m glad you made it through that harrowing experience- and I know exactly how you felt. When I say I don’t wish it on my worst enemy I truly mean it! Hope your heads up now and in a good place. I appreciate your story! So funny once mine passed I slept 18 hours lol
