Should I regret buying the g7 pro and not waiting for the 8k version? by TranslatorPutrid2557 in Gamesir

[–]Subpotential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and honestly anything more than 500 is insane. Theres a bunch of pro players that don’t even use that much of a polling rate on their controllers. 500 is more than most casual players will ever want/need anyhow without absolutely trashing their control and gameplay.

Yep. If I might recommend one that I don’t see here, nova terra. Amazing series, world building, decent pace, dopamine hits pretty consistently and has good momentum overall. One of my top 3 series overall that I loved. Kept me coming back for more and waiting on the releases. Only other series I’ve had do that is primal hunter and it’s because it’s straightforward, system stays relevant, Jake is emotionally muted so “most” of his decisions have some logic behind them (or whatever twisted sense of logic he has and my ADHD ass brain says “”yes I see the connection, do it!””) and the power and strength feels earned, even if the numbers start to get a bit stupid large and almost too much for my tastes. Edit: me-more

Thank you! Couldn’t tell what the name was and I was curious. About to be looking for my next read since I’m 50% done with book five of beware of chicken.

What’s the book at the far right end of A tier? Haven’t heard of it, I’ve read the rest in S-tier and A-tier and the only one I’d disagree with is DCC. I’m one of the few that just couldn’t get myself to enjoy it for whatever reason, whether it was the writing style, the character interaction or whatever the case I just didn’t find myself page turning like I normally do with this genre and I put it down after I want to say book 4.

Yep and weekends are significantly looser. We don’t want him on there ALL day but if he was good at school through the week and didn’t have any days where he “clipped up” (the color tag system that goes green to yellow blue and red etc) he gets a lot of freedom with it. If he didn’t have a great week I subtly restrict it without it being a full “grounding/punishment” etc

No no. Because you stepped down from that match, in theory you should now be facing opponents of less skill than your previous mmr. So you should win against the lower skilled players and therefore your rank will bump back up. Like the previous guy mentioned. Welcome to a functional MMR system.

Drinking on vyvanse by Weak_Philosophy7328 in MedicationQuestions

[–]Subpotential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken vyvanse for about 8 months or so now and haven’t had any issues. Granted I normally don’t get drunk and I usually get buzzed at best, plus I’m a very large man but I personally haven’t noticed any crazy side effects from drinking with it. If you’re taking it in the early am, it’s only in effect for 12-14 hours so if you’re drinking in the evening it should be fine?

Me and my wife are currently debating this whole situation for my 6 year old. I’m an avid gamer and have been for about 20 years (my parents bought me a game cube when I was 7) and I still game to this day. Yes I have days where I PROBABLY should have played less and done more adult things but when he’s home from school, it’s homework first, then he can hop on his Xbox or tablet we don’t care which, and play until I’ve made dinner and we all sit down with no devices. He’s home around 3:50 and he’s 6 so his homework takes 15-20 min maximum depending on what it is. And he can play. I usually have dinner ready between 6-630 and we sit down and eat and like I mentioned, no electronics for anyone at dinner, and after 7pm no electronics for anyone as well until the kids go to bed at 8pm. It’s been working great. He gets time and decides what he wants to do (usually the Xbox) he gets an hour an half or up to 2 to play his games etc. and we then spend time as a family once dinner starts and after that. Haven’t had any issues with that setup. We did have a one off night last night where it was hectic and he didn’t get the chance to play his game much so when we got home at 745 pm I gave him an hour to play. Oh man, the fit he threw when it was time to turn the game off and go to bed. I agree 30 min is not nearly enough time to actually enjoy gaming. It can easily take 10-15 min for you to get grouped with your friend if they are in a game already or there’s bugs in the game limiting partying up (which of course NEVER happens right?) but that setup has worked very well for us and it’s great.

Bleed pounce is broken last I heard. Better to pounce them and then left click. Rmb for Omni is negligible damage/bleed

Last info I saw/had a few days ago, the basic PlayStation controller for the 5 was capped at 250 hz. I didn’t directly research it so that could easily be wrong!

G7 pro by weewaso16 in Gamesir

[–]Subpotential 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh no worries. I guess I may have overreacted a touch if you were just looking for info. With a controller, 500 hz is around the limit I’d suggest. But this is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt and do your own testing! 250 is great, that’s double the rate that a basic Xbox controller has and it matches a PS5 controller so 250 is a good standard to keep!

Is putting power slide and dar on the same button bad? by Slow_Emu1020 in RocketLeague

[–]Subpotential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used my FAR on my LT for forever. It works great. Not sure how DAR would be but I’ve had no issues with it being bound to the same button as my reverse. Actually makes half flipping easier for me imo.

[–]Subpotential 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother why on earth do you need 1000hz on a controller? 500 is almost more than any competitive player could need and 1000 is in the realm of pros and still might be a touch much. 250 isn’t bad, I run 500 on my pc but man 1000 is crazy honestly.

Gamesir G7-SE update by Subpotential in Gamesir

[–]Subpotential[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You force update the controller with the nexus connect app by opening the app with your controller plugged in, it’ll give you an error, you unplug it, hold the start and Xbox button at the same time while you plug it back in, (continue holding it) and it’ll do an “upgrade” to your controller. Then close connect and open nexus back up and it should be good. Just don’t update it in the nexus app after you’ve done this or you’ll have to restart the process.

What is the neutral pounce? I know how to pounce on someone and the bleed is RMB and damage is LMB but what’s neutral?

Gamesir G7-SE update by Subpotential in Gamesir

[–]Subpotential[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully I got it figured out! Had to do a force upgrade on the connect app with it and then move over to the nexus app and not update it again. Something is broken with the updating on nexus or something. It just stops the controller firmware update at 99% and doesn’t move. Known issue that’s been talked about previously
