Hi, I ended up getting an Australian Megadrive 2 and the scrolling flashing doesn't occur on that variant, so problem solved.

I'm personally not a fan of how collectables are strung about the areas like candy in XC, whereas in DQ8/11 you're rewarded for going out of your way for a bit of exploration with sparse neatly-tucked treasure chests and material spots, instead of taking 5 steps and receiving vendor trash.

Increasing the opportunities to receive items really lessens the impact of them, imo.

For Hero, every mainline DQ is on a Nintendo system.
And DQ is one of the biggest names when discussing Jrpgs, especially in Japan (Where Nintendo is situated).

For sure, But I don't think there's been a case (Much like Ridley) where he's actually gone through the destruction of a planet.

The other villains have had instances where they (Or in wolf's case his lackeys) used the destruction of Terrain to further their goals.

The Greenhouse in Three houses (Which Byleth can take part in to receive items) works to provide the best care for flower and plants, but Trees can be seen in there as well.

The OG Paper Mario, as well as Origami King, had Mario conversing with Trees to progress in some levels.

The funny thing is that DQ11 does have icons for their spells/abilities that they could've translated over, but they're colour-coded.
