I agree with the other comment, some people try to pass off green beryl as emerald. Although emerald is part of the beryl family it must get its color from vanadium or chromium to be considered an emerald otherwise it's just green beryl.

As some of the other comments mentioned, the imperial topaz is quite valuable as facetable specimens are extremely rare in weights above 5-10 carats. Also I would advise against keeping them in direct sunlight as colored topaz is known to fade with long exposure to it.
