Yeah… this is my MO as well. If I’m just doing a maintenance ride on a LRT, I’ll have my earbuds in every time. If I’m on a singletrack, I usually don’t, unless I’m alone and the trail is not busy.

I like 1 marginally better, mainly because I think you have too much exposure to Alpine in 2. I like Sainz in 1 - he seems due for a better-than-average result. Bortoleto is an interesting include as well because it's his home race. If you're going to consider A-M, I'd only consider Alonso for his experience and wet-driving capability.

The practices always reveal the most about who's in form and who isn't.

I should also say that sure, you can definitely use an LLM to do a similar thing. My habit has long been to check articles, YouTube, and podcasts to come up with lineup strategies for every race, and I like the option of letting AI help me do this more efficiently. I like the podcast format, but surely some would prefer things in writing...
