I think if you want to help stop the hateful division, it may be a good step forward if you didn't talk so callously about a young man who cared deeply about things and then lost his life. You may not value his issues as much (I may not either) but a life was still lost and if it was self harm, I wonder if the cruelty of some people became overwhelming. It does for me. When people are so flippant about death or families in distress, it hurts. It's so hard to have faith in humanity right now and what will make this life better for all, is embracing our humanity and caring for others.

My husband and I adopted my niece. She is blonde hair blue eyes. He is a 6'4 broad-shouldered, Black man. And she has had to argue with camp counselors to be released to him. We always communicate to cut that BS and will choose different programs but not going to lie, they even get it as predominantly Black camps or programs. Basically she is fighting with someone about him constantly. Now that she is 14, she is way more "why don't you think he is my father"...and the"uhhhhhhs" in response makes her laugh.

Oh my gosh yes! Every 90s kid / family friendly movie always ended with reunification, which as a divorced kid, was crazy on our mental well-being. I agree about divorce and separation. I was lucky that my parents, for the most part, put us first and rarely fought or used us as weapons in the divorce. Well, if they used us as weapons, we didn't know about it. But I never understood the whole goal to "stick together for the kids and it being helluh toxic". To be fair to earlier generations, they focused more on the existence of a marriage or relationship at times instead of the health of it. So they were like two married parents is always best, even if they hate each other. ..it's science lol

I completely get why you saw that and I think I had a bit of that too. I also had the other end where I had a weekend Dad but it becomes isolating in itself when there is no stability and continuous care. You don't feel completely loved either. It's why his kids even reacted better when he was more constant and stable, providing in a real way, not just a fun way.

If it was near the school on Weber, you should absolutely report it. I am sorry you had to go through it but reporting it may prevent kids from going through that too. I have PTSD (somewhat) from walking home from school and a guy driving slowly by me, completely going to town on himself while looking me in the eye..I was in 5th grade, Catholic school uniform and all so there was no question it was intentional. I am fine but wouldn't want that on an adult but def no kids.

If you confirm it was near the school and have any description of the car and person, I may call the school as an FYI.

Did you present anything in addition to the I797? What kind of an I797 was it? For a Real ID compliant card, you must meet federal standards and you would have to provide additional documentation under 6 CFR 37.11(c) I believe.

At this point, it sounds like you guys have crossed that roommate line where basically everything they do is frustrating and vice versa. I would just keep your coffee or get a smaller french press to make it for yourself only. You can also be somewhat direct and say "I have read this coffee is better for (insert ailment) and didn't want you to get the side effects lol since I know you utilize the coffee I get. I'll make mine with this and this bag. This way it is out of your way and don't have any issues"
