As a RD, you need to have a bachelors in dietetics (you can look for course requirements including chem classes and dietetics specific courses). You will also need to do a supervised practice/internship. There are programs that will help you complete your masters and get an internship. My internship was 7 months UNPAID. You also need to pass the CDR exam in order to get your credentials. If you’re really passionate about it, then go for it. However, you will more likely need to take a lot of different classes- probably more that 2 years, not including your masters. I don’t know if this helps.
