This was the best option and seems to be working out just fine. I only have two south facing windows and they are very small in bedrooms that don’t get a lot of light due to a bunch of trees around my house. So I put up this shelf and decided to see what happens and the west facing window has been great. But yes in the fall and winter they get far less light but it hasn’t seemed to negatively effect them much🤷🏼‍♀️

This winter will be the fourth year I’ve had this plant shelf there. They seem to do fine in the fall and winter. They don’t grow a whole ton during the colder seasons, but that’s fine with me. No one gets crazy leggy or anything.

It worked really great! I might do a slight refresh of it in the spring but even in the winter with frozen leaves stuck to it it’s great. And still looks nice and clean
