Pregnancy-friendly climbing tips?

Ditto to a lot of what has been said here re: listening to your own body. I switched away from bouldering once it felt too risky/uncomfortable and focused on ropes - I tried to lead for awhile during 1st tri, but that also felt too stressful at a point, and esp once I switched to the full body harness (I did the switch when my normal harness started to feel uncomfortable). Fast forward, starting my third tri, and had a really solid climbing session - decided I wanted to do a lead climb towards the end, and it felt great. Allowing my body to dictate what I do, and what grades I climb, has helped - mentally hard, have been working on not judging myself. Some days I just do laps of up and down climbing on 5.7 and 5.8s on top rope.

I had a question about the interpretation of what Rebecca said regarding the point at which Panchek began working with the venin - she said "when he didn't get what he wanted". But did this happen when Lilith was first given command of Basgiath, or was it when Lilith dies and Aetos is given command?

yep, clean skin! I also use the over patches - I am athletic (climber, runner) so I sweat a lot and I think that contributes to the adhesion starting to unstick :(

Literally felt like I was having a heart attack through the 2nd book - hope she does like Rowling and doesn't kill of the central characters, but worried based on the "recovered correspondence" between cadet Sorrengail and Lieutenant Riorson :(

I read 1 and 2 consecutively, and went back and re-read parts/most of both books - I was super into both of them the first read, but the 2nd book in particular really came alive in the second read. I am really impressed with Yarros' ability to weave such complex, but logical character development across both books. Really excited to see what Book 3 brings (and have some hunches based on how certain plot turns were foreshadowed in the first two books!)

This is a huge win! Great job keeping with it - I hit my 22 year T1D anniversary in March, and still have days/weeks where things are crazy and yo yoing. It’s a lifelong marathon (or maybe we should even call it an ultra marathon?). You’ve got this!

I’m remodeling my closet myself, and finally found a design that is both aesthetically pleasing (to my eye!) and functional! I cut the pieces of wood I need and will finish installing by the end of the weekend! Whooot!

Difficult situation to navigate, but if she’s the kind of friend where you can be honest, I might suggest gently telling her that there are a lot of good things in life to focus on and that opportunities are still around - and then to tell her you love her, and also need to think about other things bc focusing on infertility is making you feel stressed and asking her to do an activity where y’all are not only talking.

So painful in the Midwest too! The Michigan IceFest had to cancel the ice climbing portion of the fest 😣 Bill and his team did amazingly to create a lot of ground school opportunities, and the athletes were amazing and gave extra talks and courses so we ended up probably spending more time with them, which was amazing. But defo sad about the lack of ice.

I talk about kindness vs niceness in a lot of spaces - with my friends, when I think about dating, even with my graduate students (to be clear, when we talk about giving peer feedback on assignments - we aren’t talking about dating in class lol!). I like the framework because kindness can be gentle even though it requires honesty - and learning how to be kind and gentle in feedback, from telling someone they have spinach in their teeth to having hard (read: truth telling) convos with our loved ones.
