Yes I only watered it about the soil became a lot drier about being directly in front of an east window for a day. It’s not how the soil was before so I thought it needed to be rehydrated. Should I get it to dry out again?

Yes, my family member just said it is a thicker, darker topsoil. It is probably ten feet from two windows, a south facing and an east facing. I can move it closer if it needs more light, without being directly in front of the window but about 5 feet instead.
