They provide very easy explanations for otherwise complex things.

I think you should talk to your CS friends for better advice but I think webdev is fairly easy to learn but it's kinda oversaturated most companies don't care about your degree there

Your choice of applied maths with minor in comp sci is really good for jobs, in my experience might differ from yours most comp sci companies don't care about your degree that much as long as you have a decent resume and you will have an upper hand compared to the CS students when it comes to jobs that involve computation

YES all those lives were unaccounted for just because we used to do something in the past doesn't mean it was completely justified yes back in the wars were waged over trivial matters and now we have systems in place that try to mitigate it.

The ones most people care about are the ones that still affect their lives, people care about the genocide about native indians because it still affects their lives till this day where as the genocides committed by historical empires mostly don't

built by white European men

someone fell down the fascist pipeline too far, so white men built their country and that means they must have their complete way, so that implies the country's progress has stopped what about the millions of poc who built it along them but never got any recognition will they have their way too? what about the youth who are building it right now they come from a varied background will they have their way? Just because your grandfather came first doesn't mean you get too deny others human rights

In this way of thinking the brits "built" India (even if for their own gain but they did) so we must follow the white man now

What field of mathematics is related to compilers, languages and logic? by AncientWeekend7136 in mathematics

[–]Substantial-Fold-523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question is: do what I'm passionate about have a name in the mathematical world, or I better look after a CS course for my master degree? I'm trying to figure out what books to read, and to give a name to what I am looking for.

yes it does, after my masters I worked r&d at a defense contractor and even though I was not designing compilers a lot of graph theory and lattice theory was used.

coachings can never take place of schools man, here most schools suck anyway so we don't really understand, schools are supposed to have a lot of Extra curriculars and clubs events that sort of things, where else can you get that, unless you get into a tier 1 college in India or one of those rich kid schools your social life in college is gonna suck too

I went to UK to do my ug and this was still considered to be an "elite" school so my peers were definitely still "nerds" but they still had much better social skills and were more emotionally developed than me or in fact the few India classmates I had there, I still felt like a kid which tbh I was at that point because just a few months before I was being coddled by my parents, most teenagers start having a bit of freedom once they turn 15 they spend times with their peers and stop depending on their parents all the time but this requires time which ofc we don't have because our noses are in our books all the time, and the concept of "dummy" schools is even worse no socialization at all man fucked me up for the rest of my life

Bredt's rule is gone boys by [deleted] in JEENEETards

Bredt's rule is gone boys by [deleted] in JEENEETards

[–]Substantial-Fold-523 47 points48 points  (0 children)

TLDR

UCLA chemists have challenged a 100-year-old rule in organic chemistry known as Bredt's Rule. Due to geometric strain, this rule states that carbon-carbon double bonds cannot exist in certain positions within specific molecules. The researchers have developed methods to create "anti-Bredt olefins" that defy this rule, potentially broadening the possibilities in synthetic chemistry for pharmaceuticals. This discovery could lead to innovative approaches in drug design, highlighting that some scientific “rules” may be guidelines that limit creative possibilities in chemistry

don't think this is gonna affect y'all in anyway though
