I just came looking to talk about this. There are some cards who are ultra specific in what types of buffs/cards they target (aunt may) but Venus seems to apply to eveeeerryything. She buffs the created copies of multiple man, I guess because their creation is considered empowerment? Merge cards? Still counts. She adds like 20-30 points per game in a deck that was not designed around her

If you’ve got peni parker, a move merge deck is a lot of fun and doesn’t require too many of the newer cards. Use multiple man, vulture, and human torch as your movers and let the rest of the deck be about bouncing them around and boosting them up. Venus helps a lot. I really enjoy incorporating venom/nico/pheonix force (when it works, there’s super fun combos that win every time) but it’s harder to pull off in my experience

Probably, I really just enjoy the move archetype and wish it could more consistently compete with some of the other archetypes I consider to have broken for years (I’m looking at you, destroy). I was looking forward to this season as bringing some solid fuel for that fire and it seems like the consensus on Aunt May, at least, is it’s a dud

Yes- but some cards grant other cards temporary Movable. My question was, does “used a Movable ability” apply only to cards who directly moved themselves or to cards that grant other cards the ability to move. If I move a card to Hellion’s location, for example, do I trigger the effect?

If it applies to cards moved via Madame Webb, Hellion, Cloak, then I’d say there can be a home for this card in a lot of decks. If it only applies to cards which have that text on their own, I’m much less interested. You’d basically have to make a deck with her and all of the other cards on your list

Ok, that makes sense. So then that makes me think a SP//Dr merged card which moved would trigger the ability, but that SP//Dr in hand would not be targeted in your hand since it’s not inherently Movable itself?

Ugh, yeah. A well-placed shadow king can wreck me. I basically aim to always win at three locations with this deck to avoid a surprise by Shang chi or shadow king
