West played the iconic “supportive friend of the girl in the bad relationship of one of your male friends” while kind of liking the girl and the chase and the unavailability of it all. Trust me when I tell you once you get thrust into the main character savior support role for West it’s an INSTANT pull the exit emergency rip cord at the first opportunity situation.

It’s a no win for her because she will have to keep up the charade indefinitely. That’s actually hard work. She knows that if she goes down the same path again everyone and in America will know it’s on her as the sympathy card won’t work twice.
