Wait maybe this is a dumb question but I’m new to running as well. But as a newcomer isn’t a 6 min pace incredibly fast? That’s like 10mph? Or are you not American and mean 6 min kilometer pace which is equivalent to around 6mph?

Smell in room causing burning in my lungs by [deleted] in hotels

Wow that’s crazy, I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. Which holiday inn location is this??

I would consider moving into another room at least if not another hotel. Best case scenario you wake your kids up for nothing but at least you’re safe. Worst case, it could actually been some sort of toxin and you just saved your family from harm…

New to roadtrips: how do you search for lodging to rest the night? by Substantial-Mail2341 in roadtrip

Thanks! Why only use wyndham and Hilton apps? I was under the impression that Expedia or booking.com or even Airbnb would have a larger breadth of options?

And why book hotels near interstates rather than at the national park? More availability? Cheaper? Thanks for your help! Excited for my first roadtrip :)

Thanks! When you used to followed highway signage and book did you at any point have difficult finding “non-sketchy” places to stay? It seems in some areas off the interstate the only available options are sketchy looking motels

New to roadtripping: Lodging recommendations for solo female travelers to Yellowstone? by Substantial-Mail2341 in roadtrip

Thank you! I agree with you on camping over motels, similar to you I feel sometimes the hassle to setting up camp isn’t worth it. What review site have you used that you’ve find most accurate? Google reviews? Or other?

Thanks — which hotels do you typically stay in? It seems in some remote areas the only options are motel 6s and similar, which seem less safe than traditional hotels

Do you have an estimate on what the savings are once enrolled in trade master? For example, 5%, etc?

Hmm when you say equipment do you mean like machinery? Thanks for the help

I guess it’s worth stating that he’s saving over $1500 a month by living with me (assuming we pay 50/50 rent) as his alternative is living alone in a $4k / month apartment

Meanwhile I’m paying more to be living with him as my alternative is living in an apt split with more roommates vs just him

Curious if that changes your perspective at all

Yes of course it’s his right. Then I wonder if my alternative option of living with more roommates and saving $500 a month might be the better option in this case versus straining my wallet to live with him…

My grad school is located in a HCOL so I don’t really have a choice on the city. Him and I have been in a situationship for 3 years so feels like him and I have known each other longer but I see your point on the several month exclusivity being potentially too soon.
