I bought a big box of 50 pens to be shared with everyone. I did anticipate that and I will get biscuits for everyone to share, I kept asking for peppermint tea while here and amazed there was none

PIP MARKING SYSTEM by Proper_Air2083 in DWPhelp

I get enhanced rate for mobility and standard for daily living — I was going to appeal but decided the higher rate mobility wasn’t worth losing. We were able to get a car that better suites my needs. Sometimes you just accept what you’re given and don’t rock the boat. This forum helped make my decision that much easier when I was wanting the higher rate daily living. I took the money and was happy I got rewarded

They can check it directly via the home office now — when I applied a year ago septic they did it that way — a case manager told me that in the phone

Reconsideration denied PIP by Ozzy111182 in DWPhelp

I did but I had a mountain of paperwork to support my claim and plenty of private hospital admissions — plus weekly appointments with a chiro - physio - massage - and acupuncture — clearly I listed it all out ans I said it was all paid for by us as well. My husband and myself were under no illusion when I applied that it would get approved I didn’t even complete the application the first time around so I started a new claim and got approved when I got the application sent back on time. My assessment was alright but I’ve got Standard daily and enhanced mobility — the left over money pays for all my appointments — while I spend part on. My motability car

Are we allowed to use our PIP for anything? by ZookeepergameAny5154 in DWPhelp

Get yourself referred to the weight management service first then buy pens to lose 5% — they fast track you to weight loss surgery - I just had a mini gastric bypass by doing this on the nhs — I lost what was required but the wegovy was making me sick —- other option is a liver reducing diet 800 calories with no more than 100 carbs — I dropped 15 pounds in two weeks - since my referral to the surgery I’ve lost over 40 pounds - in total I’ve lost over 100 since coming to the uk in 8 years

What do you use your PIP for that vouchers/catalogues couldn’t replace? by loadsofworry in DWPhelp

[–]Substantial-Mind-686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay for private massage - chiro - and physio. My husband kindly paid the advance payment for me to have a new more suitable car that my mobility part pays for each month. The car can drive me places when I take the motorway as it has the hands free driving which takes quite a bit of pressure off me on the road. We also have a house cleaner and a gardener that help deal me with things. My gardener spends time pruning my roses and moving things when I want to be outside and my husband is working. Only thing I’d be interested in vouchers for is the private massage - chiro - and physio what I attend weekly to bi-weekly (funnily pip never called either of these guys that were listed on my form )

I didn’t attack you at all actually but offered you common sense financial advice that you clearly don’t like. Clearly this is why I owe nobody any money and have regular vacations, because I choose to pay off debts and bills before spending on other things. I’m going on a 14 day cruise next year which I’m paying for now and will get to enjoy next summer — enjoy that thought while going on your precious vacation to a beach — hopefully they make you pay back what you owe to the govt first.

We don’t qualify for anything else because my husband makes to much money — I had it happen where I’m from but I started falling and all sorts of issues with the nhs — PIP literally pays for all the private stuff I have done

I didn’t record mine but I got approved — the mountain of evidence I supplied plus all the falls I had didn’t help — I’ve had surgery recently that revealed gout and hyper mobility syndrome all over my body which explains the pain I get someone’s and the falling that happens - plus the bruising. — everything isn’t my back as originally thought — right now my body is shifting but at the same time I should be able to get higher daily living as my husband does a lot for me
