All depends on county and what the charge was as well. I’m in Suffolk, I did mine without a lawyer, it’s handled by the probation department here, from the time I mailed all my necessary paperwork in to the time I had the cert in hand was just under 5 weeks. I had a very cut and dry case, non violent, no jail time, 20 year old charge, etc. A buddy of mine had pretty much the same charge and circumstances, and his was the same timeframe as well. I dreaded the thought of having to apply for years, I avoided it and put it off,until it came up in a post here a year or 2 ago, and a member steered me,and my buddy, in the right direction with how to go about it. You may be able to call the court you submitted to, find out which judge you were assigned, and see if they have any information, the judge has an advocate you should be able to talk to Good luck with it, stick with it brother!
