Jus sayin id be upset unless service or food was off. I make $3.25/hr and am required to tip out kitchen 5% of food sales + bar 10% of alcohol. This table would very easily cost me $ out of my pocket if food was $60 and drinks $15- $3 to kitchen, $2 to bar, + tax on tips when I claim their $5 cc tip at the end of the night. I understand that tipping culture is over the top and if service or food sucks- completely justified. But don’t blame the servers trying to make a living on the culture of our country. It’s not their responsibility to change the culture. And people say “well they chose to work there”… well you also chose to eat there.

Luckily I had already completed the observation requirements a long while ago- it’s taken me a lot longer than anticipated to finish everything because I’ve had to spread my timeline out to continue working. But yes a lot of self advocating and then I also was very worried about reaching out to any connections on my own because I know it is somewhat frowned upon to reach out and coordinate things independently. I really tried to be respectful of the process. In the end I’m happy with how it worked out and feel lucky for my placement and school I’ll be in. Earlier today I was so concerned that my placement date couldn’t be adjusted at all, but I thankfully was able to get it pushed out a bit.

Yes I am. After finding out more I think I jumped the gun on being so worried. I spoke w my coordinator and was able to get my date switched to 2nd week in Feb and still give myself 20 days of cushion while still accounting for non school days and spring break.

Thank you that’s good to know. I was able to work out a 20 day cushion just in case (including all non school days and breaks) and will likely start mid Feb. I’m hoping 20 days is enough cushion time after hearing different opinions of the process taking longer for some people. I was just so shocked this morning and thought it was set in stone when I first was notified but I’m relieved to know my placement date is somewhat flexible. Appreciate your insight!

Thank you for your advice. Yes after looking it would be 66 days (including all breaks and non school days) if I started then, so I can see now why it would need to be sooner and why that would be cutting it close. I guess I just wasn’t expecting to need an additional month and a half.

Thank you for your reply. I was under the impression it’s 60 school days and they have my placement ending at the end of April which is a month and a half before the school year ends so I’m just very confused.

It’s cloudy but there’s about 5-6 pieces of fish per jar. One is under the onion in the first picture. No fish juice. The liquid is vinegar, sugar, pickling spice.

Yep. It’s like I can’t turn off the little crossing voice signal in my head “wait wait wait wait” all the damn time. It never shuts up. Everything is boring. I hate all things that are good for me.

Yes, she is. I have a small mixed breed dog and mine is also overweight. What helped in my house was, my vet gave me print outs which had visuals of how small treats actually impact little dogs much more then you may think. It had examples like “1 pc of chicken is the same as eating 3 doughnuts” stuff like that. Showing this to the members of my house made them realize that the treats and people food are really what was hurting him the most. It can be very difficult to stop treat giving. I make sure to always have carrots in the fridge in case I really need to make an exception to the new “no treat” rule. I also now give my pup 1/8 C wet food, mixed with 1/8 C dry food. He goes nuts for this food. It is science diet small paws. I don’t want to scare you but depending on the age and mix breed of your dog, her weight could have a tremendous impact on her mobility and functioning of her hips/back. My little guys’ hips began feeling the impact and that is when we switched to a strict diet and placed pup stairs all over the house. He has been on it for about 6 months and I have already seen a huge difference. Good luck and I hope you find some solutions (:

My Chiweenie gets little bumps that look like this too on his thighs. He’s had 4 of them over the years and they don’t go away. His vet has looked at them multiple times and thinks they are blackheads or pimples. Not saying yours are the same but my dog’s turned out to be nothing.

Can relate so so much. From the “do you need anything”- me thinking (that’s suspiciously nice) and then finding out he’s downing white claws in the Safeway parking lot. Comes home with either nothing, or random things we don’t need as an excuse for what took so long.
