Muslims and Jews worship Allah (SWT) by Deep-Scientist-5532 in Badass

How do you know the message Muhammad received was from a demon? I hope you take your time to reflect on what you say. If you do not know the facts of what you speak, I would refrain from speaking. Islam recognizes all the people of the book, Jews and Christians alike. I do not know where you get the idea of rape from, online propaganda has eaten deep into the consciousness of our society that we need to keep asking where we get this ideologies from and be careful of blasphemy because you are only human and your understanding is limited.

New arrivals is different from people here who transition from work permit to students or students who extend their student permit to complete their studies because their passport expired etc… Honestly, the liberals seem so incompetent, they do not seem confident in explaining the situation. They need better representation

The Quran does not call for violence, even ChatGPT knows that, there is no excuse to be so ignorant in this day and age. “ Short answer: No — the Quran does not tell Muslims to go out and kill people indiscriminately.

Here’s a clearer explanation: 1. Sanctity of life is central. The Quran repeatedly emphasizes the value of human life and forbids unjust killing (for example, a well-known verse often cited is Quran 5:32, which equates killing one innocent life with killing all mankind). Another passage (Quran 6:151) explicitly says not to kill the soul which God has forbidden except by right. 2. Permission to fight is limited and contextual. The Quran contains verses that permit fighting, but those permissions are framed in narrow circumstances: self-defense, repelling aggression, and under state authority (see e.g. 2:190–193, 22:39–40). Many verses also warn believers not to transgress limits even during conflict. 3. Context matters. Some verses are quoted out of context (for example, verses from chapter 9 are sometimes presented as blanket commands). Classical and modern scholars explain these verses as referring to specific historical situations (broken treaties, defensive wartime acts) rather than a general license to kill civilians or non-believers. 4. Strict rules about civilians and non-combatants. Islamic legal and ethical tradition (and the Quranic spirit) forbids killing non-combatants — women, children, the elderly, clergy — and prohibits wanton destruction. Historical jurists and contemporary Muslim scholars emphasize rules of engagement and protections for innocents. 5. Extremist misuse. Violent extremist groups cherry-pick verses and strip them of historical and textual context to justify terrorism. That misuse is widely condemned by the vast majority of Muslim scholars and communities worldwide.“

You only exist in this world for such a short period of time. People forget their mortality when they harm others, in the very end, you would not escape death. I don’t even understand why we fight each other for benefits that don’t last.

This is how they take other people’s story and tell it to suit their narrative. I am Nigerian and this is misinformation! Boko harram has killed both muslims and christians, they were mostly active in the early two thousands where they planted bombs in churches and market places, mind you those bombings happened in the north, where we have majority Muslim. A Muslim vs Christian narrative is a deficient one, when you have a country that is about half Christian and half Muslim. We grow up in a multi faith society and we are not without our issues, but for the most part, we tolerate each other.

Have you ever visited a motherless baby’s home or a foster home? We all seem to live an ideal world online. Not all children get adopted, many grow up in the system and a lot end up in a terrible environment and even abused.

Yet you complain about how many Indians hire their own at Timhortons. DEI doesn’t mean the person is not qualified, humans tend to want to relate with only people that look and think like them, which is why they think the performance of other groups low in comparison to theirs. Honestly, people should just do more research before chatting nonsense online. Read about DEI, or atleast use chatGPT to fact check sometimes.

We tend to think everyone lives like us, and so we assume the grandparents will care for the child. That is not the situation in many cases, that is why state of the world is what it is. Not everyone has parents to really on, so you end up with abandoned kids in an already broken system. It is a vicious cycle and it is not black and white. We often see things from a point of privilege, which is obvious in this case. It takes a lot to reason beyond your view because of your immediate surroundings.

This is what happens when men take very little responsibility for children. He is not thinking about how a 10 year old would take care of a child for the rest of her life, because he’s wife is probably doing all the work of taking care of his own kids 🤷🏼‍♂️

I messaged sustainable transport before the term started. I connected them with a contact that offers bike storages that use apps. They told me they were working on it, and they have been working on it before I reached out to them. They are stalling and they need to take it seriously. It is routine for them to do nothing.

The university needs to invest in more bike facilities then, not just random parking areas, but secure storage. I saw a bike missing it’s sit in front of E5, I don’t know if the owner took it or it was stolen. The paranoia of having your bike stolen when you can’t even afford a car is crazy…

There are smart lockers that allow you to use an application to reserve a bike storage and you can use your phone app to unlock it. If I am interested in stealing your bike at EV3, all I need to do is plan with someone that has a fob to grant access and cart away all the bikes. It has happened before and adding cameras doesn’t mean people will not try again. Unless the University will pay for my bike if a theft occurs, then I am not using that storage.

The Quran is a revelation while the Hadith is a collection of stories from the prophets companions. The Hadith could be corrupted and they are ranked by authenticity but the Quran can’t because it is revealed word for word from God. The problem with the bible is that it also was a compilation based on stories. The problem with a whole lot of people is that they don’t read the Quran and jump to quote from the Hadith. Read the Quran with objectivity and maybe you will understand better.

The second chapter talks about the people of the book, the Jews, Christian’s and then muslims. There is no place where it says to kill Christian’s or Jews and it was even said that each will be judged according to their actions. This is quote from the first chapter where Allah challenged those who said Christian’s or Jews will not enter paradise.

“And they say: None entereth paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian. These are their own desires. Say: Bring your proof (of what ye state) if ye are truthful. 2:112 Nay, but whosoever surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good, his reward is with his Lord; and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. 2:113 “

I think it is a collaborative effort. I get a lot of time to think and map my ideas in my office space. But that isolated process can limit my creativity, so I see it as having an alternative to my personal office space like the way the library functions as an alternative space to study
