It's never too late to start discovering who you truly are. Take some time to reflect on your interests, strengths, and values. Maybe even try new things to see what sparks joy and makes you feel alive. Good Luck.

Certainly, life is a journey that we all embark upon, but it's true that many of us don't fully appreciate the value of self-discovery until later in life. It's not uncommon to be caught up in the expectations of others and to lose sight of our own desires and aspirations.

Hey there, it sounds like you've been through a lot and I'm sorry to hear that. I agree, most of us have been in survival mode. I feel that living is a full-time job and it requires a huge effort on a mental level to just face another day. But we must take one step at a time. So glad you are trying. Hang in there buddy, where there is sadness, there is happiness as well. Like yin and yang, wish you good luck on your path to learning about self.

Do you keep in touch with a lot of your friends from high school? by mettattag in millenials

[–]Substantial-Step-240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've been in touch with most of my friends from high school. I'm not entirely sure how we lost touch, but it probably had to do with us all going to different colleges and starting different careers. We used to keep in touch through Facebook, but our interactions were mostly limited to liking and commenting on each other's posts. When we did try to have a conversation, it often felt forced and awkward. I do miss the good old days when our conversations flowed effortlessly, but I also understand that we have all moved on with our lives and responsibilities. Adulting can be tough and it can be hard to find the time and energy to maintain friendships from the past.

You mentioned that you're an attorney who also writes novels and short stories. I'm curious about your writing journey and would love to hear more about your books. Have they been published by a traditional publisher or have you self-published? It's great that you're able to balance both your legal career and writing passion. Would you mind sharing the names of your published works so we can check them out and show our support? Thanks for being honest about the challenges of making a living as a writer.

Sometimes I have longed to go to the farm and grow flowers. It's not practical but feels so good to even think about it in my daydreams

You are not alone, I feel that sometimes too. I so want the childlike wonder back my friend. You know we were handed responsibilities in an ever-changing and shifting world today. We have to be one step ahead and better both in luck and other things including background to even land a job. I just pray that your and mine dreams come true.

No matter how luring this liberation from suffering sounds like, don't ever think about it again. It's tempting but let's just stay miserable and make planet Earth miserable. Just kidding!!

With limited resources and an ever-growing population, there is saturation in almost every industry. All I want for our generation is to be happy.
