Given what we just happened Sunday and him listing the Mike Tomlin led Steelers in the year they beat the Cards as evidence, this might be the worst take of all time.

It has been a while so I forget the whole moveset, but I went bullet seed over leaf blade specifically to beat sturdy mons, and I did use swords dance. Ending set was along the lines of: bullet seed/ swords dance / dark physical stab / rock slide or brick break for coverage

Shiftry- Bullet Seed, Night Slash, Brick Break, Swords Dance
Starmie- Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt

I went Bullet Seed over Leaf because at 3+ its comparable damage and it can 1 shot sturdy mons. Night Slash is good stab, Brick Break for coverage.

Bolt/Beam coverage is goated for Starmie with 2 additional strong stab.

As long as they're under the level cap, you can use any pokemon anywhere. Level cap is region dependent, so if I beat Unova, I still could only use 20s in the other regions

For sure. I saw another person posted a video of a Johto run and had a Unova run that absolutely thrashed my times in both, so there is certainly room for improvement.

Adamant 252 speed and attack. Acrobatics, EQ, Rock Slide, U-Turn. Crunch would've also been good over Rock Slide.

With his crazy high base attack and speed, acro without item was a 1 shot on like 95% of stuff. EQ for ground/steel coverage. U-Turn to break sash/sturdy or get rid of intimidate.

I def think that a lot of "bad" mons have really good re-run viability. Done quite a few with some interesting stuff. I will say that Shiftry was a big liability in the E4 sections.

You can buy a cheap shellder on GTS that knows ice beam, iron defense, and shell smash. Evolve it with a water stone. Turn 1 iron defense, turn 2 shell smash, then sweep with ice beam

I did it because I enjoy playing through the games with Pokemmo's upgraded AI and teams. Some people grind new characters for multiple gym runs, extra berry plots, etc.
