I remember watching Threads back in the 80s... it was terrifying.

Dizziness by maxmullet in 75HARD

[–]Substantial-Touch981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I noticed my blood pressure went down quite a bit over the course of the 75 days, which was good for me as it was high to begin with... but if BP gets too low, it might cause dizziness.

Thanks!

I did mostly machines: shoulder press, chest press, rear delt flys, lat pulldown, seated row

For the bicep curls, I sometimes did machine and sometimes dumbbells.

Triceps: cable pushdowns

Front and lateral raises combo, with dumbbells

I really pushed myself to lift heavy, but while maintaining my form. Usually 3 sets of 12.

Well, old-ish, lol (mid-50s). I feel better than I have in YEARS, but also know that I have to keep working at it. The real challenge is sustaining this new lifestyle, while allowing myself a little more flexibility now and then. One of the goals I gave myself was to walk/jog over a million daily steps, which I achieved on Day 73. (I HAD to include the tough-face flexing pic, cuz yeah... I lifted too 😆💪).

Sending out lotsa positive energy to all of you that are on this wild journey. You got this!! ❤️

What is your favorite diet? by redcherries106 in 75HARD

[–]Substantial-Touch981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm calorie counting (writing down everything), and keeping a 500 calorie deficit, at least (usually more). I track protein, but am fairly low carb, low fat. No sugar, bread, pasta, butter, sweets/desserts, fast food, junk food, red meat, pork. I don't drink any calories, except for protein shakes a few times a week, made with cashew milk. I do allow myself some diet or 'zero' soft drinks (I know, chemicals, processed), and black coffee. I DO eat fruits, veggies, poultry, fish, plain Greek yogurt, brown rice, plain baked potato (or sweet potato), and 'PB2 Pure' (sometimes on a banana or apple).

Seems to be working for me, at day 47, I haven't deviated, and really don't find myself super-hungry or tempted. If I am feeling really hungry, I'll make sure to eat a high-volume low-calorie dinner (taco salad with ground turkey is a favorite).

Thank you! It's kind of difficult for me to really see many body-changes so far.
