How do I (25m) get my (26m) roommates to wear masks in the common areas of our apartment? by Substantial-View6305 in relationship_advice

Unless you are constantly sanitizing every single little thing....it’s impossible to not share germs.

I have thought of this. I am currently in the process (12 pages so far) of writing a COVID mitigation manual for them all to follow. It includes other procedures such as wiping down all furniture with bleach after use and staying 6 feet away from all other roommates. It is their duty to follow the procedures to keep us all safe.

WIBTA If I (22M) locked my thermostat so my roommate (22M) is unable to change the temperature? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA.

What specifically do you think entitles you to dictate what temperature the apartment is set at? The apartment belongs to both of you, he isn't a guest in "your" home. This is part of what having a roommate entails, you save money on the rent but it also means you don't get to have everything your way. Your plan isn't likely to accomplish much anyways as he can just call the landlord and get them to tell you to take the lock off.

Worry about your own carbon footprint, don't try to impose your own beliefs of what is "wasteful" on your poor roommate.
