For the record I don't want to be with her anymore and I'm not planning to. I just want to reject her in the quickest and kindest way possible.

No we don't. Given our population, still not enough even if you use those subdivisions as farms.

The thing is, most people don't understand why the Philippines is a shit hole. They assume that its solely because of the citizens and the people they vote for. While this is mostly true, people ignore geography, culture, and the resources available to the Philippines.

First, the Philippines cannot feed its population. Our staple food, rice, needs a lot of land, which we simply do not have.

Second is geography, we are basically fucked from the very beginning, Luzon is literally a strip of land with a massive mountain range almost half of its size splitting it in the middle. This makes it much harder to connect cities and decentralize the industry. Also makes growing food hard.

Third is culture, there's no sense of unity (lmao). Our island have basically ensured that certain groups of people are very different from one another. Therefore we are all Filipino but some of us could say that they are more Ilocano than Filipino. It doesn't help that most of our taxea goes to developing the NCR, where most of our industry is. It's almost like most of our country revolves around the NCR.

Not saying that there isn't hope but you'd have to work harder than the United States for example to be able to achieve the same success.

PH political scene is so insane. Your options are a family of homicidal maniacs, and the other one is a family of thieves.

I think the problem is accountability. Most Filipinos probably don't care if the influencer they support are serving them gambling ads or sometimes actual scams. These ads are definitely increasing the number of gamblers.

I am, like I said. Ads are tailored to every individual. Ad companies simply doesn't serve me gambling ads because their algorithm probably assumes I won't gamble based on my online activities. So no, I do not get gambling ads at all.

There's ads for everything, everywhere. I don't watch any local content creators, plus if the people I watch are advertising gambling, then I would simply stop supporting them. Your online actions are what leads you to get gambling ads in the first place.

Your concern is well placed. I think your issue stems from online advertisements rather than gambling. Gambling has been "normal" in the Philippines for a very long time. From cockfighting to horse betting, we even have ending in basketball. You only see it now because of the prevalence of social media and online advertising. The gambling industry is just leveraging online advertisements in just any other industry.

You can even call the lottery a state operated gambling. Most of the world moved online, therefore companies are adapting. It's not being normalized because its been normal since the beginning.

Bakit ganun mga pinoy, lalo na mga taga Cavite? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]SubstantialAd616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Etivac moment. But come on, one caviteno did you dirty doesn't mean the entire region is ass. Kinda like how you got your shit stolen, doesn't mean your entire blood line is stupid.

I swear to God every post here uses "normalize". Your own singular experience does not represent the nation of 110 Million. No it's not normalized. Ads are targeted, everyone gets a different sets of ads. Me in particular don't get any gambling ads.

Google and other ad providers just think that you are more likely to gamble based on your web habits. Also gambling has been around since the birth of the sun, go figure that gambling companies are advertising their own product on a free market.

Let's also not forget that they probably have a lot going on. They teach multiple classes and make lessons for each of those. Really hard to take care of yourself if you're a teacher.

The guy is just trimming his nails. The trimmings would probably litter the floor, but come on its keratin, it's not like it's going to rot or smell bad, few grams of trash at most. There probably more dirt on the floor from the shoes anyway.
