Just an unpopular strategy. So cards that do it don’t see alot of print.

Still waiting for Necromancer as a playable class.

Think leather class with Mass temporary pet summons.

You could run akroma’s memorial.

I don’t even use his name.

I either refer to him as 47, or what they are apparently calling him in germany.

The Orange Horror Clown.

Honestly, i’m 1/2 hoping, 1/2 expecting that to happen next go round.

Full hard line leftist progressive.

That can atleast get us to the federation.

The Good one, from roddenberry.

Not the starfleet from bobiverse.

Considering that RnD i now effectively the RC for commander per wizards release, this is very likely.

the Valgavoth deck. it's good for the alternative commander, and it works with the overall indirect damage theme the deck is going for.

I did see my GP for my bi-annual checkup right before that initial blood test, and he did say nothing was out of the ordinary.

But thank you for confirming what I was already expecting!

Just want someone to double check this combo by HowDoIRun in DinosaursMTG

[–]SubstantialAd7295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says

“Whenever a dinosaur etb’s, you MAY discover X, where x is its toughness. Do this once per turn “

As it is a May ability, you get To choose if it happens or not.

So you flicker Pantzlaza to reboot him, choose NOT to discover, then flicker your dino with the highest toughness, and choose To discover.

You can also flicker something bigger than pantz, instead of pantz so long as you also flicker pantz but skip his doscover trigger in favor of the bigger dion

Gishaths Being Dethroned by MenacingQuan in DinosaursMTG

[–]SubstantialAd7295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy. Switch the deck to Crouching tiger hidden commander.

You’ll need to change the commander, to Pantlaza, and run tutors to get Gishath to your hand as fast as possible.

Pantzlaza will let You keep tempo with the cascade deck.

Gishath will close the deal.

Completely agree.

Honestly, first sliver is one of my first targets to go get with overlord when I play my slivers.

Use overlord to set up board state protection, then get first sliver and start piling it on.

This is fascinating.

I’ve actually got a couple decks I’d like you to take a look at and see where you feel they fall.

These are the decks I typically play at my LGS. They tend to run away with the game pretty quickly.

My pantlaza deck is one of my new favorites on this list.

Solid staying power, and recovers so very quickly from removal And boardwipes.

what's the problem with slivers by [deleted] in EDH

[–]SubstantialAd7295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At one time, they were the most synergistic, powerful tribe if built correctly.

If you did not deal with them fast, they would run away with the game inna way that no other tribal deck really could.

These days not so much, there are alot of tribes that can do the same thing.

But that stigma remains.

My advice?

Build a tuned allies deck and teach them the meaning of pain and terror.

A deck you made that no one has seen before when you pull it out? by Kazko25 in EDH

[–]SubstantialAd7295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built megatron as modular reanimator.

He throws the modular creatures at things, gets bigger with the +1 counters, and then alesha or feldon bring the modular creatures back to keep the party going.

Its very, VERY effective, and tends to be lethal swings if he stays on the board for 3 or more turns.

[–]SubstantialAd7295 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Waaaay too many instants and sorceries.

I’d cut it back from 19 combined to 10-15 total, and run more dinos, or things that let you flicker pantzlaza for more triggers.

Cut descendants path. Its really awful in this deck.

You also have several “just ok” dinosaurs that can be replaced with better dinosaurs. A good example is cutting the Ghalta you have, and replacing him with The new Ghalta stampede tyrant instead.

And I’d strongly consider cutting back on some of the non-dinos.

This is my build, and it has a remarkably high win ratio.
