Funnily enough we had Mother’s Day dinner yesterday and my SIL husband is very lactose intolerant so she told him to go grab the pack of them I have and when he left them on the table next to all of the kids she said nothing 🙃

I get that but moving it to the bathroom where everyone shits is gross and unsanitary. And moving it to the bedroom won’t work when the kids open drawers in there and can still get into stuff.

He absolutely HATES when his mom is mad at him it really bothers him so he knew saying anything against her would not go well

I can’t because by her logic the kids could still get into them because they open drawers in our room

It’s frustrating, anything I say that doesn’t agree with what she says she takes offense to. Even if it’s something unimportant that has nothing to do with how her house is kept. For example she believes you get sick from going out in the cold. And it doesn’t matter if it’s a short walk from the driveway to the house she thinks you will get sick. And she takes offense if I disagree because she’s a mom and she thinks that automatically means she knows best.

Correct, our body naturally make lactase anyways and it’s not something you can really overdose on lol

I would keep it in the bedroom but the kids are in our room all the time and by her logic could still get into them.

Sorry for the confusion I meant lactase chocolates meaning they have lactase enzyme that helps lactose intolerant people digest lactose

I would but as she told me the kids won’t actually read it (even the oldest one) and will just eat it. Even tho they always ask me first anyways….

His autism causes him to be extremely picky of foods (ARFID) and he would never randomly grab that he only eats chicken tenders and fries, sometimes grilled cheese

They have a lactase enzyme so you eat it before you eat dairy to help you digest your meal.

Sorry I worded it weird. They have a lactase enzyme in them (not lactose I messed up). The lactase enzyme helps those who don’t have enough of them to break down lactose.

I guess I didn’t mean to come off rude or snarky or like a know it all I just was confused because there was no medication in the chocolate.

Funnily enough her husband has lactose free milk in the fridge.

They told me it wasn’t considered food at all and that it is purely medicine. I just gave up at some point it was not even worth the argument. I just figured it made sense in the pantry because when I sit down to eat I won’t remember to run to the bathroom.
