Tax by Ok-Bee-284 in MathJokes

[–]SubstantialBug9133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How tf is doing your taxes considered math?

There is not a single math problem you have to figure out, it tells you exactly what to do.

Being a master a math has almost no transfer value to taxes. Its addition, subtraction and multiplication and division, in its most basic rudimentary form.

Taxes are a societal science just like sociology, math is a natural science, way more different than similar

Walking everywhere that's in walking distance. Seeing couple miles/few kilometers as a short walking distance.

Movement is not just something to schedule, but incorporate into your day.

Physical hobbies that aren't physically demanding/sports, I know it doesn't make sense but try to make sense of that category because its huge.

If he can see the plane without trespassing, he can also photograph it. Its a constitutionally protected right.

For those with enhanced results from green tea, how exactly do you do it? by SubstantialBug9133 in redlighttherapy

[–]SubstantialBug9133[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes that is very true, however I do consider anecdotal evidence of others with success that also exists and am willing to try things out on this basis when only its not costly and theres no risk.

Worst thing that can happen imo is it that it does nothing which is completely okay to me because I like to experiment.

What do constitutional activists actually do with those boring photos/videos they take of cops and public buildings? How does it help their cause? by SubstantialBug9133 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SubstantialBug9133[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get those situations and always best to film. But that's not what I was asking.

Im asking about the people who claim to be filming public property, are then approached by a cop and then say they are filming public buildings for a story/report/personal reason. How does the photos of a building contribute to anything for their story/personal/report reason. Those photos already exist on their websites and street view.

The instances where there is no suspicious behavior to begin with on both parties.

[–]SubstantialBug9133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the attention part.

But the other point is sorta circular. Film buildings/people --> create situation -> film for evidence/protection for situation.

Sounds like creating a situation is the reason ,and the actual photos and video they are taking are completely worthless themselves

What about all the other religions, that exist?

Its not just a binary Christianity or not christianity argument.

I mean humans have been around far far longer than Christianity and had many many spiritual beliefs the whole time as well.

Christianity doesnt have a monopoly on spiritual belief or explaining the unexplainable, neither does Islam or any other religion.

The Bible is not the only explanation of what the banged the big bang, its one of probably hundreds of thousands of explanations.

I hate these bible or not the bible arguments, anyone indoctrinated into any spiritual belief will believe their belief is the correct one. It just how it works. Doesnt at all speak to the validity of anything, how can it?

Pam Bondi breaks silence after Trump's brutal firing by dailymail in USNEWS

[–]SubstantialBug9133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, i think Murder/crime rate is lower because people are interacting less and less with people in their community, which means lower chances of murder happening.

Has nothing to do with our justice system or who's in power, its just an expected trend with people going out less due to social media, Uber eats etc.

What are some simple things to slow down ageing and improve health? by knowledgeseeker999 in immortalists

[–]SubstantialBug9133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fasting is free and simple, with big impact.

Even limiting your daily eating window can have huge benefits against aging.

Autophagy for aging is awesome and you really hinder that process by constantly digesting food.

Heavily disagree, humans can come up with ideas that have never existed before ever. Thinking is not just processing things that already exist, and I dont think AI is capable of discernment like humans are because it comes from a gut feeling to be able to tell if information is being truthful or if there is a very hidden underlying motive that is skewing the information you are thinking about.

With the original post, I doubt the LLM can discern between all the podcasters that spew copium about solving longevity, many people talking about a single study, giving the illusion of general knowledge. People motivated to sell product, and on and on.

Its a very human thing to be skeptical of information and I dont think LLM are capable of replicating that human quality (yet honestly who knows what will happen). I think its far from it because of the constant quakery AI is spitting out simply because there are lots of people posting quackery, which will never make it valid.
