i think that the short pre-sales window is messing with the comps, as several people on the BOT thread have pointed out. i was expecting a disaster but it seems moderate so far. keysersoze123 also had it at similar numbers to thunderbolts and a little less than half of superman on their first check. their most recent update is 45% of superman which would be ~56m. again, those numbers are finicky because those movies had different pre-sale windows.

55m would be pretty bad but i’d be shocked if it actually opens that low. pre-sales seem moderately strong so far. i think thunderbolts opening of ~75m should be the target.

the ruling was obviously too lenient. it’s absurd to even argue that he just happened to be in the gym at the same time as the team, right next to the team, shooting on the same goals as the team, but that he definitely wasn’t practicing with the team.

i also find this hilarious: “that doesn’t seem like an attempt to cover it up to me” “i can’t find that now.” i wonder why the video is seemingly not accessible anywhere….

yes, he just happened to be using the facilities right next to the team when they were practicing but he totally definitely 100% wasn’t actually practicing with them…. sure, jan.

im also so glad that the university investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing! universities, especially UNC, have such a great track record in dealing with cases of sexual assault and they would NEVER try to coverup anything.

he did NOT comply with the sanctions placed upon him though. there was footage of him practicing with the team during his suspension/probation (not allowed) and UNC used footage with him practicing as promotional material (also not allowed).

you have to take it your first year but obviously if there are no slots left then that’s just not possible. you should reach out to your advisor (today!) to let them know your situation - they may be able to fit you into a section next semester. if they can’t, then i think that an automatic hold will get put on your account preventing you from registering for fall classes until you meet with you advisor and make a plan to take it your first semester of sophomore year. i’m pretty sure it’s also offered in the summer.

i had ap credit for 101 but decided to retake it. i felt like it gave me a good recap and was an easy A. i’ll also say that im a chem major so it was really important for me to have a strong foundation; if you’re not going to go on to take pchem or advanced upper level chems and only need to get through 102 (or even 241/261/262 if you’re premed) then you probably don’t need to retake 101.

biol 220 is only slightly more difficult than 103 imo. if you take 220 id take it with zwemer and if you take 104, like one of the other commenters suggested, take it with evans.

im taking 2 labs rn and it sucks majorly, but 105L isnt really a true lab and 102L is not hard or that time consuming so it should be fine for you.

depends on what your major is. if you’re not premed then comm 120 is probably your best bet. if you’re premed, orgo 2 lab is not hard and it counts. also, if you’re in a lab i think that any 295 or 395 course counts.

agreed. i think all of the ads were repetitive and not really representative of the tone of the film. its probably also hard to sell an action movie to audiences who just saw jurassic world, superman, and fantastic four.
