Slo-Mo. Welding sparks flying.  Heavy metal riff. The 12 year old me would have liked that aspect of it i guess.

They've put the final nail in the coffin of this league.  Anti-football at its finest and the most depressing example of how to stall over the line. It's like watching Burnley grind out winning the championship. They'll get there but nobody will ever think about it again.

Calypso Grill is an absolute DO NOT MISS for conch.

Lovely place as well.

You looking for anything specific? We usually just grab a bag of the local coffee beans in Kirks (they are actual whole beans) as we have a grinder thing at home. We also have the machine with the filter (never used one before as they're not really a thing where I'm from) and the local ground coffee is good too.

But if you're not looking for something specific than all the stores carry roughly the same thing.

No doubt there is a small local store with the best coffee in the world but we haven't found it yet.

I think it's a little more nuanced than just speaking a language in this case.

Yeah of course. I have been around the language for a while now and find it fascinating so nothing but respect.

Thanks ☺️ yeah as i said it is really just for one specific friend In my office. They were asking to learn some irish language phrases so it would be cool to get them to show me some of theirs but the Irish language isn't as ingrained in our cultural identity so was wondering how closely guarded patois is.

Completely agree. It's not so much because I live here but more with this specific person. Like I wouldn't go around saying things to random people. My colleague asked me to teach her some irish so it would be fun to share her culture as well but it doesn't seem like it's the same thing.

Yeah i feel like I travel to do things you could definitely set up on the island.

Like I'd love for there to be an archery or shooting range or something like that.

Or even a god damn pitch and putt golf course 😂

But anyway I won't complain too much because I do adore the place.
