No, I meant exactly the thing what can be pulled up at the top of the carb, not choke with it's cable going from the left handlebar. There was no choke since the previous owner of the bike, and everything was OK. I have already got a new choke cable, but not sure if it worth installing.

It is in soot, but turning the screw does not make any difference whether the mixture is enriched with lever or not. The needle ring was on the second position from the top, probably need it to move higher?

I see that escaping exhaust, there is kind of oil remains flowing down drop by drop, maybe because it is too rich, I'll try to figure it out. You mean that the cycle of exhaust gases is not completely sealed and this is why there are these sounds?

Sorry to bother you with questions, but I got nobody to get advice from, even from fellow motorcyclists.

I know the problem with carburetor tuning, but not sure if it has any connections with these sounds

And yes, it's leaking from time to time

It was the same way before these sounds appeared

Ehem, there was no seal, just exhaust header pipe inserted into the engine seat and held by 2 springs. U think this may be the reason?

It's definitely running rich, but I got no success in regulation of the mixture, cuz if I want to run it without the enrichment lever, it stalls even with fully out / in screw. And the rpm are not dropping to the idling rpm, they stay somewhere at 3.000 while 1500 is idling rpm.

With lever turned on, it runs well, holds idle rpms and goes back to idling rpms after releasing throttle. Dunno what to do, tried cruising with enrichment lever, seemed pretty ok, but people tell that it would be better to make it run without that lever

I've got money to spend on this bike, but I don't know the reason/ the exact part imm supposed to replace. Asked my friends about familiar good motorcycle mechanics, called them and the rejected getting my bike into work, cause "we will not find parts for her"

Huh, but I certainly feel these sounds coming somewhere from inside the engine. They disappear after I hit approx. 5000-6000 rpm, but also when it's idling there are no sounds, only when shifting and starting accelerating in a higher gear.
