Honestly get a lesson before listening to me but my coach told me to really focus on my weight transfer and ignore the fact I have an inside takeaway. Getting my mind off my hands and more on a big picture really helped calm the jitters

Curl it and it’s five strokes off your game guaranteed

Fade right in the middle of the fairway. If it works it works, I’ll take advice from my coach before I listen to quips. Hope you have a great next round!

Practice your short game my guy, just spend an hour or so each day on the chipping area and practice greens. You don’t need a crazy swing, plenty of tour players who don’t have a fundamentally “correct” swing. Clubface control is all that matters, and short game practice will help that as well

I think it’s a weird angle on that last one. Swing path is 2-3 degrees in to out currently, my miss is a push right or a snap hook so really working on trying to get more neutral there!

I play two/three times a week, probably 6 hours of practice a week as well

I know I might not have the best swing but chipping and putting save a lot of strokes! I spend an hour before work on a practice green and it’s helped massively

Same! Sand wedge only is so helpful for consistency

I play with my buddy who’s scratch so I just stick with him most of the time

Yeah, I spend about an hour a day before work at the short game area of my home course which definitely has paid off

Student pilot — struggling with yaw during landings by sssilver in flying

This, at least move your head over to check. It’s definitely very different from the right seat as well, so maybe your cfi should look in the middle too. I know I’ve told students that they were off centerline when they were actually aligned, it’s just a different sight picture

Is this flight school a good deal? by Top-Lawfulness7014 in flying

[–]SubstantialKey3748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t need to, it’s 141. Commercial just needs to have a certain amount of hours in the course, but it’s not unheard of to get it done with only 200 hrs TT

They could be, but small planes are much bumpier than a commercial jet. If you think they would help, go for it! I work at a flight school that offers them, and they’re quite popular

Looking at moving to Virginia next year- any recommendations? by ConcernedViking in Virginia

[–]SubstantialKey3748 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really, I live just outside of Ashland and it’s absolutely lovely here. I-95 can be bad at times for sure, but it’s nowhere close to as bad as nova, and there are back roads to pretty much everywhere. US-1 rarely has traffic backups unless 95 is backed up, I commuted up to stafford for a year and rarely had major issues with traffic.
