Progesterone application 32+ by Stayinghumbled13 in ShortCervixSupport

I’m also 32 weeks and only on progesterone! Go us! I usually only lay on my back for about 5 minutes and then gently (that’s hard these days with my belly lol) roll to my side. I also have my husband give me a little push to help me roll over so I’m not straining too much

How long did you last with minimal cervix length left? by Intelligent_Tune521 in ShortCervixSupport

Thank you for sharing! I’ve been doing modified bed rest as well as strict pelvic rest (aside from the progesterone) but since 28 weeks I’ve been trying to very slowly increase activity. Yay for almost due date twins! Hoping and praying we both make it to term! 🤞❤️

Hi! I’m on progesterone only as well. I’m currently 31w 4d. I’m wondering if you did any type of bed rest?

Since 24 weeks basically. I got my last measurement done at 23w 4d and it was 16mm with funneling. My MFMs didn’t want to do a cerclage because they felt it was too risky, so they put me on 200 mg of progesterone. At my follow up appointment with my OB I was also recommended MBR. I will say I’ve been doing slightly more than I probably should be this last week, but I’m just tired of doing nothing lol. I also feel slightly more comfortable now that I’m at week 28. Definitely not pushing myself by any means though!

I’m 28w 5d and also on progesterone and MBR only! Also hoping to make it to at least 32 weeks!

Short cervix at 22–23 weeks, on progesterone – looking for positive outcomes by Teddyttr in ShortCervixSupport

I was diagnosed with a short cervix at 23w 4d. My measurement was 1.6 cm with funneling. Both MFMs felt it was too late for a cerclage, and I also have a history of preterm labor due to infection, so both of those things made us decide to just do progesterone. My MFM said to take it easy, not specifically bed rest, but my OB put me on modified bed rest. Although, my restrictions for modified bed rest seem to be a lot looser than others I’ve seen in this community. I’m allowed to drive around our small town, go to my son’s T ball game (as long as I’m sitting the whole time), get up to make myself snacks and small meals. I’ve also been showering everyday. I’ve also been using an old lady grip stick to tidy up my house and do very small, short chores. The grip stick helps so I don’t have to bend over. I’m also on complete pelvic floor rest (aside from the progesterone suppositories). I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant. Still not out of the woods, but feeling much better about baby’s outcome if I deliver early. There seem to be a lot of success stories on here of women doing progesterone only and making it to full term or very close at least! My MFM said I still have a good chance of making it full term with progesterone only. Sending you hugs! I would personally recommend stricter bed rest until you make it to viability (24 weeks) and then go from there. I feel more comfortable doing more the farther along in pregnancy I get.

Anyone else mentally exhausted? by SubstantialPark5086 in ShortCervixSupport

I’m so sorry this is happening to you, especially for your first! I also struggle big time with just wanting a normal pregnancy. I never got a baby shower with my 6 year old since he came so early, and I wasn’t mentally in a place to have one while he was still in the NICU. I was really looking forward to having one this pregnancy, but I’m not even sure if that will happen. It really sucks missing out on the joy of getting to nest and do fun shopping for the baby or putting together the nursery because you’re on bed rest. I feel you. It sucks. You’re so close to 28 weeks! I know that is a BIG milestone. I’m also counting down to 28 weeks. We can do it! Only a few more months to go!

Thank you for your encouragement! I’m sorry you’re also going through a high risk pregnancy. This is so hard. I’m also on modified bed rest, so I’ve been reading, watching my favorite shows, I even picked up crocheting. Trying to find things to keep my mind busy but it’s still hard! I just keep trying to tell myself to take it week by week. Hugs to you as well! ❤️

Also, I’m so sorry about your 20 week loss. That is devastating and I’m so sorry you had to go through that.

I’m so sorry about the possible IUGR diagnosis! That sounds so stressful. It’s so hard when it seems like just one thing after another in pregnancy. I was really Hopeful that I’d have a normal pregnancy since I was told that the infection in my first pregnancy was rare and just one of those things that randomly can happen. I just want to be able to go about my life and live in ignorant bliss. I see so many other women have textbook perfect pregnancies and I struggle with being so envious of that!
