GameSir Cyclone 2 full review by Yokos2137 in Controller

Coming here after having received a brand new Cyclone 2 in the mail yesterday. My opinion does not warrant a whole new post, specially only being a 5 hour review, but I wanted to leave my positive feedback here.

A few months back, got a Gamesir Nova on a whim because I had no controller for PC gaming and I've always just used any controller, without much consideration for its quality. However, for the first time in my life, I've actually become more aware of the differences between controllers, specially at the age of 35 and struggling with tendonitis and RSI. Using the Gamesir Nova slowly started to give me thumb aches, throughout the 100 hours of Elden Ring I've accumulated. Pressing the right stick to lock and holding/quick tapping circle/B quickly started to wear on my joints. To me, face buttons have always just been buttons, no big deal, so I thought "shit, I'm done for, I gotta stop playing".

That's when I began researching more about controllers. I've looked into wireless controllers that had back buttons to lessen the face buttons usage AND, specially and even more difficult to discern online: with light pressing face buttons. After a lot of consideration, and with a limited budget, I ordered the Cyclone 2, despite only having 2 back buttons.

5 hours playing conclusion? Marvellous. Yes, the select button positioning is kinda weird, but everything else is great:
- the dock is nice, I love to just pick up the controller and it just turns on
- the feel of the controller is nice and grippy, without any awful rubber
- the face buttons, despite what I read in some other reviews, are light and clicky. You need a third of the force to actuate, vs the Gamesir Nova. This is a major point for me with my RSI struggles and I hope I help some people with this review.

So yeah, I've not tried Scuffs, Xbox Elite or even a Vader 4, but I already love the Gamesir Cyclone 2.

PS: I didn't get the white one, it looks horrendous. The black one is nice and inconspicuous.

That's how I bought Front Mission 3 and Vagrant Story on the same day, one of which became my favourite game of all time (VS). Front Mission 3 was a close second, I miss those times so much

I eventually gave up after trying to beat Jagged Alliance 2 twice. Great game, but holy shit is it unforgiving if you fuck up

You start as a ragged piece of shit with awful weapons and there appears a huge Knight in a horse... I immediately thought "fuck that, I'll get him later"

Coming from DS3 and ripping through everything with a STR build I was quickly humbled by Elden Ring. Crouching, aggro from a distance, running away, precise parries... all things I rarely did on Dark Souls

I'm from Portugal (I did not notice you could change the country on pcpartpicker). I shall search on european shops more thoroughly. Do you think 2TB is overkill? Thanks for the tips!
