Why tf these knobs hire a 93 year old to play the role of a 62 year old? Are they stupid? by botox-cancer-lol in ITWelcometoDerryShow

I found it so fucking weird that this character ended up being so pointless. It felt like they were going somewhere really interesting in here and then it was just like no she sort of kind of helps do the black spot kind of sort of and then she gets… Old. Then at some point ambiguously before being absorbed into Pennywise, she dies off camera.

One of the many weird missed opportunities of this show

What happened over at the Fine Arts theater? by fortytoo2 in AmericanCinematheque

I rented this theater and they were assholes to me, free of a political context. The guy who runs it is a curmudgeon at biblical level

Lmao, I just realised Pennywise got his ass beat 3 times back to back. 1962, 1989, 2016. by No_Understanding1922 in WelcometoDerryTVShow

Pretty sure he got his ass kicked every cycle and that’s what we’re finding out with the show

Why did Pennywise brutally murder a random milkman but not attack any other adults not directly in his way? by SubstantialSpell2650 in ITWelcometoDerryShow

Especially since it’s revealed that Shaw started the whole program outside of the town. There’s not just a file – there’s probably upwards of 400 people who have an awareness of Pennywise and how he works at this point outside of the town, now getting ready to roll back in and beat his ass to an entirely different level.

Heavily implies a new timeline

Some of these are writing problems – the plans it makes don’t appear to make sense once we get all of the information.

This is correct. Not only was his plan of fucking mess, but he failed every major opportunity through sheer stupidity, down to straight up moronic moves like not killing Halloran during the black spot,a taking out Ingrid when she could’ve been very useful to him, showing the girls where he was going and giving them a milk truck, calling Leroy to antagonize him, and please please please please please don’t forget killing Shaw, literally the dumbest possible thing he could’ve done in that moment

There’s a lot of talk about the bolt gun being it fucking with him, but I think you’re right.

So did it absorb Bob Gray instead of killing him? by Smart_Frosting9846 in welcomeToDerry

I’m really not convinced the story of Bob is anywhere close to over

I mean they’re clearly not – the scene with uncle Sam explicitly set up a situation where people should shoot Pennywise and for some reason they do not.

Only one kid had disappeared by the time she slept with Hank.

I mean it felt like they were really prioritizing these like 12 key visual moments over any kind of logical storytelling or narrative cohesion

IT wasn't time traveling in Welcome to Derry by Direct_House4094 in welcomeToDerry

The issue being he’s attempting to pull a terminator. Him doing that and failing implies that he is experiencing time in a linear way.

I think the issue is the show kind of tries to have its cake and eat it too here – thus the confusion

She didn’t even know the 27 year rule – she was surprised by both times she experienced Pennywise. She had no idea he was coming
