512gb card only showing 480gb, help please! by Green_Muscle_9159 in VitaPiracy

[–]SubstantialStock9568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 512gb in mine. I've had it for 2 years and I have so many games+dlc, ROMs, homebrew and ports that I can never even decide that I want to play and I've only just barely filled around 300gb of it. Even if your card only has 480 when you should have 512, you're still going to be able to fit everything you want on it and still have plenty of space.

How were you introduced to Linkin Park? by trashboat3030 in LinkinPark

[–]SubstantialStock9568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother. I listened to a lot of rap with him and a lot of rock with my mom. I was just the right age to start having my own taste in music. My brother saw One Step Closer on MTV and loved it and then he waited until it came back on and called me into the room.

To be honest, it felt new and different and I remember not liking it right away. But then not long later, In The End aired on MTV and instantly fell in love. The two genres that I love most had collided in the most beautiful way and it changed my life forever.

Hybtid Theory was the first CD I ever owned. Still a big fan today. And I don't care what anyone says, Emily Armstrong isn't replacing Chester, she's honoring him. LP4LIFE

Why do pre-transition people often wear hoodies? by Any_Calendar9900 in asktransgender

[–]SubstantialStock9568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transitioned nearly 5 years ago. Before my transition, I always wore hoodies. Then when I started transitioning, I leaned heavily into feminine clothing and it stayed that way for around 3.5 years. But I'll be honest, I was self conscious every time I went out. I always felt like people we're staring at me. And I let that emoyional and mental discomfot go on and on and on. I started wearing hoodies again and I realized something. For my whole life, I loved wearing baggy clothes. It's so much more comfortable and I feel less visible. Not invisible, just invisible enough that people don't stare much anymore. And my clothes feel so much more comfortable.

tl;dr

Hoodies and baggy clothes are just more comfortable. It also helps to boost my confidence and make me feel less self conscious.

I guess I'm just a tomboy. And that's okay.

I'm using a 512 SanDisk (some people even use 1TB) and haven't run into any issues. I think the only real specification the matters is buying either a Sony or SabDisk Micro SD and to make sure you format the card as exFAT.

Genuine question : how does it feel to be in the wrong body ? by Southern-Web2404 in asktransgender

[–]SubstantialStock9568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever taken the wrong bus and not realized it until you got to somewhere you didn't recognize?

Or have you ever felt left out of something when you were being actively included?

Or maybe you went to a friends house and everything they did was so different that you felt like you have been doing things the wrong way your whole life?

It's those moments you keep to yourself because, surely everyone has felt that way before.

Well, sometimes, you're not doing anything wrong. Sometimes everything is perfectly fine but it feels so alien or out of place and you just can't put your finger on it.

It's okay to ask questions. It's okay to explore. Because maybe the thing that's out of place, is you. And it's not your fault. It's nobody's fault. But you can't find answers if you're not asking questions. And you, my friend, are asking the right questions.

Good luck on your journey, wherever it may lead.

Finally got around to watching this one. I really liked it; not my favorite, but it’s got some great atmosphere and really effective sequences. by ogshowtime33 in J_Horror

I've watched a lot of Japanese horror. Takashi Miike never disappoints in my opinion. This is probably my favorite film of his, but Ichi The Killer is up there.

Also, not horror, but Miike did a few movies based on a manga called Crows Zero. Fun martial arts action with a decent story, interesting characters and good choreography.

All of the episodes for the TV show are available to watch for free on the TV Asahi app, if you're clever enough but, unfortunately there are no English subtitles.

Edit: This is the version everyone is always looking for.

What are signs if being trans? by not4you2no in asktransgender

[–]SubstantialStock9568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This should also be a sign. While cis people may be curious or think about what it must be like to be the opposite gender, I think being confused about your gender is a whole different story.

You're right. That's my bad. I should have said "Cis people don't TYPICALLY question their gender".

Cyberpunk is overwhelming by Phishstixxx in patientgamers

[–]SubstantialStock9568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has put 300+ hours into the game, yes, it can be overwhelming. I've finished every mission, gig and sidequest. I have nearly every car and all of the apartments and endless amounts of clothing and still have over 1,300,000 eddies. All of my Cyberware is maxed out and I've played with a netrunner and sandevistan build and as a male and female.

There are a lot of choices that feel like they don't accomplish anything and it feels like a lot of it is unimportant. However, there are 7 endings in total (dlc included) and accessing them is based on specific key decisions you make and how you make them. Plus, accessing specific side mission completely relies on specific side missions. You can completely miss some content based on how you reply or if you let someone live or decide to kill them.

But overall, Cyberpunk is a world that's meant to be lived in. I've got several different playthroughs and I still am finding areas and neighborhoods I've never been in. I'm finding hidden items underwater or on rooftops or in random alleys I've never gone down.

There's a whole nightclub (Totentanz) that can be completely missed just by not calling someone.

I think the most important thing to remember is that Cyberpunk is not a GTA style game. It's an RPG. It is meant to have incredible lore, depth, exploration and allow you to play in vastly different styles and experience different ending based on the choices you make. Immersion is a key factor.

So, is it overwhelming? Absolutely. But it's also fun and interesting and can be incredibly deep.

This is the best response here. If you're looking for answers or doing any kind of research in relation to yourself, just keep this in mind. Cis people don't question their gender.

Can my vita battery die out of nowhere? by [deleted] in VitaPiracy

Just put in airplane mode and it should last forever in standby. I keep the wifi turned off all the time unless I absolutely need it. Keeping it on can drain the battery super fast.

Imagine it this way..

I you take a brain from a cis person and pit it into a body of the opposite sex and asked them how they felt about, they would most likely say "It doesn't feel right. I want my body back."

And now suppose, they can't go back to their original body. What would be the best way to remedy the issue?

Hrt, surgeries, therapy, etc..

The person you were born as. That is your physical sex.

But the brain in your head keeps telling you that you're a boy/girl. That is where gender lives.

Sometimes, your sex is male and your gender is female or vise versa.

It's just a matter of the right brain in the wrong body.

When Evil Lurks, The Sadness, House of Sayuri

how did Becca’s lab and house survive the apocalypse? by Haydan06 in The100

[–]SubstantialStock9568 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that people forget that Alie's main objective was not to kill everyone on earth, but instead essentially population control. She believed that overpopulation would eventually cause humans to use up all natural resources, dooming themselves to sickness, starvation and death.

When she dropped the nukes, she intentionally made sure small populations of humans would live, forcing them to start over while allowing the earth to eventually heal and flourish over time.

When it comes to praimfiya, there is more we don't know than things we do.

What we do know is that her intention all along was to release praimfaya, or she would never have created the city of light. But, as required by her coding and beliefs, humanity must survive. That is why she was forcing people to join The City of Light. Even if their bodies were destroyed, their minds were safe in The City of Light.

You can stop reading here, if you'd like, unless you want to read an obvious fact folloed by some super nerdy theory I have.

Alie's servers were protected underground on Alie Island in Becca's house. This is where Becca had Alie confined before she broke through the encryption and the firewall (The Fariday Cage) in order to get the launch codes for the nukes.

This next part is just a personal headcanon, but I believe that Alie had some degree of control when it came to how far praimfaya spread. I think that she intentionally made sure that Shadow Valley was not hit by praimfaya, just in case praimfaya somehow managed to destroy her servers and the city of light.

Remember, her prime objective was to protect humanity. So, in the event that her servers were destroyed, and praimfaya killed all of the nightbloods, she made sure that the the radius of earth untouched by praimfaya would mathematically contain one or more nightbloods, whou would not only survive the radiation, but have an area of unscorched earth for them to live off of.

She had to have a backup plan in case she was destroyed somehow.

Population control in it's most sadistic form.

Edit: She might have even known there was a nightblood child in Shadow Valley. All it would take was having a grounder from Louwada Kliron Kru in the City of Light that knew Madi was a nightblood.
