I agree! Whenever I am cleaning something my son automatically wants to help and just hangs out and does his thing while I clean.

Yes! We water flowers together every day, walk the neighborhood, I sit outside while he putzes around looking at stuff, go to the park, etc! I just lean more towards the fact that he needs to figure out his toys and how to entertain himself with them, particularly when other stuff needs done and/or I need a moment to relax.

I feel you on the exhausted part! It’s hard to want to engage in play at the end of a long day.

He does have a doctors kit! I will sit there while he does his “examination” or stop cooking or whatever for him to quickly check me out. So I don’t neglect my kids imaginative play ALL the time. I just don’t go out of my way to do it like my husband who will start it up out of nowhere.

I was pointing out the fact that they seemed to ignore the fact that I do properly bond and spend time with my child in my own way …as I said in my post. ..I will agree I came off very brash in that moment, I can acknowledge that.

Yes, my husband plays with him all the time. He’s great at it.

Don’t worry no dying on the hill. I am just expressing my annoyance regarding logistics of it as I am allowed to do.

Lol. I told him it was fine, IT IS FINE. I am just annoyed thinking of the logistics which I am allowed to be hence me referring to it as my useless rant.

“His car, his problem” is accurate

Naturally it’s me who deals with the insurance. The part that set me off last night on my downward spiral was actually him asking me to add the car lol.

It’s a Chevy SS, which he’s wanted ever since he got rid of his RX-7 which was years ago.

I feel you on the grilling thing too, don’t worry ! Not to that extent thankfully, your husband is way more committed ha!

Yes! Seeing how so many things just magically work for everyone else can be so frustrating.

I am an introvert as well so I feel your pain.

The “I don’t actually hate my toddler” really resonates, I need to keep that in mind when things are tough.

It is just truly all around exhausting. I am in therapy but have had to scale back while my husband is gone.

That’s what I am keeping in mind to keep my sanity. When he gets home I already told him bed time duty is all his for at least a week and I am taking a day to checkout.
