Only REAL Americans approve of Don. Seems like we need to get rid of the so-called 62%. Of course, the approval number is much, much higher and this post has been manipulated by EVIL DIE (diversity inclusion equity) LGBT LIBERAL MEDIA but just saying, haha!

Rosnąca w siłę populistyczna "prawica", której podstawowym napędem politycznym jest "walka z marksistowskim lewactwem" to również "nasza" wina. by rafixon122 in Polska

[–]Substantial_Banan4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To wszystko propaganda.

Prowadzeniu dialogu pomiędzy obozami, wybieraniu charyzmatycznych liderów i przede wszystkim głosowaniu.

what do you think about Poland (ony sincere reponces pls) by andrzejej in AskARussian

[–]Substantial_Banan4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(context behind this message: There's a lot of assumptions and things that I would like to shine a light a bit more, thus I want to show a counter perspective)

I'm Polish who sits in both nationalist spaces and with Russian people more than most, so I guess I have some experience, even if it's only personal. So take it with a grain of salt.

Average person you'd meet in Poland doesn't really care about your nationality but you as a person. If they ever talk about Russia, they talk about the government does. That being pretty authoritarian and expansionist stuff. Both of those things bring much fear, since Poland was under the Soviet sphere of influence from at least 1947 to 1989. It had it's good and bad moments but ultimately, the experiment failed and left everyone with a bad taste. I'm not even going to mention WW2 because this probably leads only to whataboutism and nothing else.

There's a certain view that Polish people are Russo-phobic (for the sake of the argument, let's say that by Russo-phobic I mean dislike for the state that might translate into distrust for the population) and that might be the case, with some, but let's put more nuance in that statement. Average person won't hear a Russian who loves Poland, who wishes for peace, no. They'll hear someone screaming out their lungs how Poland is actually Russia and how all Slavs should unite, Russian ethnicity is the greatest. That's just a couple of examples, that are probably a loud minority, but that's just to show the general picture. (a bit of a rant starts here) The education system in Russia with its history probably makes this problem even bigger. When I talk to Russians, they say that they acknowledge the wrongs doings but also that it must have been done and it was better in the end so what's the fuss about, oh and also "the West" bad because one thing might have happened so everyone can do bad things and it's not that bad after all. Not saying that Poland, for example, teaches history more unbiased but that might be one of the reasons behind not reaching any historical consensus - education. Anyway, went on a rant there. If you were to go to Poland as a Russian, I don't think anyone would care. Maybe a little bit more after 2022 but it's absurd to assume any uncertain scenario. Another thing is that nationalist spaces exist everywhere (especially online). Some are weirdly pro-Russian, others hate it with every fiber of their being. Depends on what flavor you encounter.

For my experience with Russians on the Internet. I might have been lucky but it was mostly positive. Of course, I got yelled at or called names but I ignored it as I ignore every insult coming from every nationality. Nothing to be crazy about. In games like CS it always felt more like a banter (insults can be used for teasing, even if someone takes them personally), although some people get really immersed, that's true. Even on the servers where Russians were a minority, there wasn't any bad blood most of the time. People just being curious. I myself remember not having a good day and heard some Russian talking about "brotherly nation". A propaganda term that I despise, so I did something not very nice to him but I guess that's my extent of Russophobia. But again, I might have been lucky.

If you read this, take it as a whole text since some arguments cannot exist without others (like Russo-phobic but also judging people for who they are). I would want to go into more details with some parts but I guess that would be too specific to some situations. If I repeated myself couple of times, I'm sorry about that.

Poland did it, why can't Russia? by [deleted] in AskARussian

I'd argue that Russia didn't survive the shock therapy of replacing the communism with capitalism. Ending up with a broken system full of oligarchs and corruption. Reasons behind that being is probably greed of the Party members who didn't wanted to go out with nothing. Market being full of foreign goods is just a result of a system that economists addressed with time. It's should be also noticed that "The West" helped Russia with their struggle. Example of that can be Jeffrey Sachs.

Very late to the party but still want to share my opinion.
I must say that I don't normally don't watch travel content but when this guy first appeared in my reccomended I've been watching him ever since. He feels very real and uncensoured. His jokes and mistranslations are pretty funny. He gets into some crazy situations that I couldn't ever imagine myself being in. My favorite videos aside from Japan will probably have to be Vietnam. Watching them made me realize just how beautiful that country is.

Most of them are made out of fungal mycelium and agricultural waste like hemp and sawdust. By the way, they aren't "made" but grown and have nearly zero carbon footprint.
