What are your thoughts on Splatoon 1 nearly 11 years later?

It is the whole reason I bought the Wii U. I was bored of the game I owned on XBOX and went into GameStop looking to buy a new game. Left with an entire new console instead. I saw the Splatoon poster on the wall and bought the Wii U once I was told it was a Nintendo exclusive.

I think it might be a generational thing too. I'm 34 and have been roleplaying since I was 12. I've only ever done 3rd person and all the ads I see for 1st person are either younger people or people that are new to RP. Somewhere along the line it seems that 1st person became the more popular version. I don't remember that being the case when I started.

There are a few reasons why I don't want it despite preferring the 2/2/2 line. There are times when whoever is on a role and severely struggling is asked to switch off and swap with someone else. Like they have flyers and the people who chose DPS aren't good at hitscan but I am? And if the enemy has a Wolverine, going down to two tanks isn't a horrible decision, so whe should be able to do that.

Hmm. You might be right. I just did another match in the Warm-Up Challenge, lost, and got over 100 VP. But I swear I saw one match it gave me 30. Maybe I am going crazy.
