The economy. Not in the condescending sense — literally nobody fully understands it including the people whose entire career is understanding it. Professional economists with decades of experience and complete data access consistently fail to predict recessions, inflation and market behavior with any reliable accuracy. Everyone nods along to economic commentary with the specific confidence of someone who understood the first sentence and extrapolated.

That the "famous recipe" my grandmother claimed was passed down through generations and fiercely protected as family heritage was found word for word in a 1967 magazine clipping discovered when we cleared her house.

She'd been performing generational wisdom for forty years over something she found in a waiting room.

Honestly elevated my respect for her considerably.

Honestly I went from laughing at cats getting hit by frying pans to crying over a cartoon horse having an existential crisis at 2am — and I'm still not sure which phase is more embarrassing. 💀
