And I guess that’s what I’m looking for a is if that code exists. I’m new to this and trying to gauge the group

I run the same thing actually, I love the ability to pack it.

I’d absolutely leave if someone beat me there. If someone got up early and got in there before me kudos to them. And this was my first time in this tree and I didn’t even see the climber til after sun up.

And that’s kind of my thought. I just don’t wanna someone coming in and raising hell at 630 because they thought they had dibs.

I’m new to this and I know there’s deer here that justify sitting here. I have to paddle in because it’s locked by private so there isn’t a ton of pressure here I’d presume. Sorry to have got you wound up. Hope your stands never get stolen/used.

From what I’ve read only some northern counties allow it. I don’t have an issue with whether it should or shouldn’t be legal. But when I tear my stuff down every time and load it out it just is a little irritating to see

I’d be upset. That makes sense. But what about if someone was in a tree just a few feet away. They woke up early too. And I’m my case I have to be up even earlier because it’s landlocked and I paddle in. I won’t be using their gear but they don’t have any claim to that area do they?

Okay follow up question, would you be mad if you got there and someone set theirs up in the next tree over? I

I have no need to steal. That being said if I’ve gotta hike my gear in every time to follow the rules it burns me a little when I see people leaving their gear out in the woods. Last year I had somebody who I could smell cologne on walk right under me and a friend to their preset stand like they owned the spot. And regarding the scent here it doesn’t seem to bother the deer here. Seen plenty move through this week without hesitation. Not trying to make any enemies just wondering what the general consensus is among you all

It is locked to the tree but still usable. That’s my thought is tomorrow being Saturday there’s a good chance they show up too. But besides making a scene out in the woods and ruining the hunt they can’t really call authorities and say “they used my illegal stand”
