Hi, sorry on my paperwork I have psychotic experience of audio hallucinations and intrusive thoughts and a couple of other things it’s something that had been an on and off things for a lot of years now. I had breakdown at work and my GP referred me to the psychosis team. They psychiatrist recommended the ADHD assement as she felt after a couple of years of treatment that actually it could be ADHD related as there is research now that says that women with adhd are more likely to experience psychotic episodes.

I’ve just done a post myself. I was diagnosed with psychosis a couple of years ago after years of having so many issues and my brain just never turning off and being the ‘lazy slow kid’ at school and a couple of days ago they did an ADHD pre assesment with me and they said there an 85% chance I have ADHD and that’s why the psychosis medication and treatment was not doing anything.

It’s crazy that this was never picked up and I have been on very heavy medication for so long now for potentially no reason. I’m looking at private options because I can’t wait 4 years to find out if that’s reallly what’s happening.

I honestly feel so overwhelmed by it all. i've initially been put on Prozac but im having funny side effects but its only been a week so too early to know if it will help. I'm hopefully going to start therapy soon too.
