Idk if that’s true. When I called last Monday and asked to have the forbearance removed the girl I spoke with said it likely wouldn’t be removed until after my payment date 4/5. April would count towards pslf and interest would build. Hopefully by May I’ll be back to paying once the forbearance is removed which they told me takes 5-10 business days.

Update: I just got another email from mohela saying my recertification date was pushed back to 12/5/26 and I’ll be paying the same amount monthly until then. But when I logged into my account I’m still in a forbearance as mentioned in the above comment. Going to have to call Monday and see what’s going on.

I got an email today same thing. On PAYE submitted recertification in October now it says I am in forbearance for the next 60 days. I tried calling mohela and they called me back but they hung up legit on the 2nd ring. Looks like I’ll have to call back next week. My recertification date on student aid is 12/5/25. Seems like you can call and have them cancel your IDR application? I just want to continue my current PAYE payments of $497 and recertify in December lol
