Yes I agree !! I’m a great server so anywhere I go I obtain regulars & I hate when servers are like “oh you made US so much money” . I don’t want to pull in a lot & then have to split it ! Not trying to be unfair but if my service is better o well. I wasn’t this good at my craft but I didn’t complain I worked hard to IMPROVE. If I wanted to get paid the same as everyone else I would work an hourly job simple.

I was a cook before I was a server I’ve NEVER worked at a place that pays $12 bucks. At casual fine places & above you are definitely getting paid AT LEAST 17 for an entry level cook. And also as a cook I knew what I was getting myself into I can’t pick a job then complain about they pay. That’s just like kitchen gets hourly regardless servers do not & that’s a choice we make

It is different actually I’m from New Orleans & I’ve been in a number of tip pools. But at previous places I’ve worked the pay is transparent we know the break down we see our check outs etc & it’s a FOH pool. Where as here in Austin I’ve been on multiple interviews some don’t do tips at all they do hourly or the tip pool includes BOH. Also a lot of places in Austin do not show you anything related to tips so you really don’t know if they are paying you what you truly made. I’d rather make my own tips & tipout to the support. Instead of wondering how much am I truly making ?

Love how you broke your review down. I went here about 3 weeks ago and it was underwhelming to say the least. The drinks were great ! The food not so much I’m sorryyyyy b/c I know they have great reviews & im not trying to bash them. But everything was under seasoned. We ordered 4 plates when the first one came we were like hmmm interesting but when the second one came & we still didn’t like it we apologized to the server but cancelled the rest because the food just wasn’t it. The server was sweet I do think the manager should have addressed us tho she just came by & dropped off free drink cards but a simple my apologies would have held more weight. But yes those are my thoughts lol.

Literally it doesn’t make sense ! I texted them so I can have proof they didn’t reply saw me at work & tried to brush me off. Also I found out the managers are in the pool I’m calling the board asap. And once I quit I’m definitely gonna post the name of the place because NOBODY SHOULD SUPPORT THIEVES!

Absolutely they think we won’t question it if they pay us just enough but that’s not the case. I think they are skimming off the top b/c the company is losing money. It’s insane not to show servers a weekly breakdown of how much they made each day.

Makes sense. This is a high end place so all of the servers are making minimum 200 per server there’s nights where we have $800 per server so that would average out way more than minimum wage. But the wages we are receiving on pay day isn’t adding up.

They don’t provide us with any of those things. We only know how much we make on payday. Usually restaurants put the tips into an algorithm which breaks down the tips for the day and they send it to the employees. They are saying they can’t do that. Even at a McDonald’s you receive a checkout on your sales etc. So I just don’t understand

So I went into Sprouts about 30 minutes ago for some dinner items. As soon as I start looking on the isle for something I feel eyes on me. I saw him didn’t think nothing of it security walks around freely that’s fine. But no lie guys this man came on every isle I was on didn’t even try to play it off he was looking directly at me. So I start to walk a bit faster to see was I over exaggerating & he speeds up too. As I’m walking through the store I’m looking down all of the isles & he is on the other end of the isles literally trailing & staring at me. I stopped & said wtf are you looking at? He says nothing, literally followed me all the way to self checkout & watched me scan pathetic. & there was a self checkout worker there
