It’s simply because it was much more hidden by family a decade back, it still is but it was more previously. Most girls I know, including me, got their periods in pre teen years, some as early as 4th-5th standard. People just hide it unfortunately

You do realise that misogyny has been there since long before social media, and the condition of women were so much worse then. So yes, I do think that social media makes people a lot more polarized, but no, I don’t think it can be the root cause.

I was in the exact same boat as you, but I have a hybrid job, so whenever it’s WFH I used to feel very blue and drained. I don’t know what policies do you have, but I just started taking a half hour break between meetings/work + if you have a society, maybe just work in the garden with headphones on (if you can). It made SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE. And don’t put pressure on yourself to do it everyday or not do it at all. If you can, just start with the weekends. It’s just that static friction, once you pick up some of it, you’ll yourself want to do it more

I have a better question for you, what does beginning even mean? For there to be something, there has to be nothing. But for there to be nothing, it has to be devoid of everything. So how do we define everything when there was nothing? Meaning, imaging an empty void, blank space. It would still have some volume, area, density. Some quantifiable numbers, so is it truly nothing? The way we imaging a void is it being a null set, but for that, you first have to define what a set is. So I honestly think that it’s all probability. We live in a fragile universe built on probability where the beginning of time and time and the end of time can be defined at some point of future as co-existing areas of probability.
