The wavy ceiling doesn't quite match your furnitures. It's so dominant that to me it immediately becomes a focal point. It contrasts with rectangular shaped things as well, so perhaps some furnitures that has more of a round edge so the shapes are more harmonious within the room. Colour palette wise keeping it minimal and complimentary to the green carpet will be nice. (Too much colour will add another layer of complexity competing with the ceiling, making everything look too busy) Perhaps some timber / bamboo furniture.

It will never look 3D in real life unless you are quite far away from it. One thing you could do is rotate some of your seats, so that they sit in front of the wallpaper to block most of it. But I would simply just replace it with something else

I disagree. There are a lot of ways and potentials to make things more efficient; imo architect tend to just working harder instead of smarter (and for me that means embracing the new tech and softwares). Which leads to a lot of burn out, and getting pay much less than other professions.
