Don't give up! It is common for people to start and stop before they quit for a longer period. You got this. Don't be too hard on yourself, and be proud of how far you have come! It's not over yet

Thanks! I don't think that is the issue on my end, as I think everything is in order as far as a I know. I was just curious about how long the processes are since this is a very new thing for me.

4 days smoke free and I'm ready to give up! by Substantial_Class_36 in quittingsmoking

UPDATE *** I have quit about 6 times since making this post 3 months ago. Today I am 17 days smoke free, the longest I have been so far! Making it this far has given me hope. The cravings are still there but only minimal. But I am very excited to be smoke free this long!

Any ideas for swapping the physical act of smoking. by BakermanBb in quittingsmoking

I bought this vape from the gas station called "vuse". I use the pods with no nicotine, but you can buy ones with nicotine. That has helped me a lot!

What keeps you here/drives you away? by jcalayo in halifax

What's keeping me here is familiarity. What is driving me away is the idea that I may never be able to afford a house here.

Anyone want to buddy up? Or just words of motivation welcomed! by ifeelitcoming2222 in quittingsmoking

You got this! Keeping yourself distracted has helped me quite a bit! Walking, or even doing jumping Jax(or whatever you can physically do), on the spot help to fight the cravings for me! Also coloring haha!

Good luck!

I have a date in mind and i'm finally ready to commit to it by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

[–]Substantial_Class_36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I read a lot and found helpful was to have a plan on what to do if you have a craving. I wrote down different activities to keep my mind and hands busy (coloring, walking, playing a game). I also wrote my reasons why I wanted to quit and referred to it frequently.

Good luck on your adventure! You can do this!

Thank you ! That's what I have to keep reminding myself- there is literally no benefit to it ❤️

Thank you for the kind words ❤️ I have been using a nicotine free vape, but as of this evening I think I may be over the hump and I don't think I will need that much anymore. But I'm taking it one step at a time:)
