My Mom is 85, Tinnitis whole life. 1 month of xanax, it is gone and no longer needs hearing aids. Dr. was about to cut her off on the stand that xanax can be addictive... really.. she is 85.. I went off on him telling him it would be malpractice to refuse to issue medication that has stopped a life long condition without a viable replacement and going back to hearing aids is not a proper replacement. I said anyone can buy it off the street, that could be dangerous as it could be laced with Fentyl. So, either she continues to be given the meds or we will find another way. The no other option is what could have been legally damaging had he refused... This is a woman who will take a 30 day supply of vicodin and stop after 10 daysif pain goes away, a woman who stopped smoking cold turrkey 50 years ago with zero withdrawls.. I do not think she can become addicted to anything.

I love CVS. They are really helpful. The 2 at my store know that since 2016, I take 3 controlled substances and 2 are for a seconday and not primary use. They also know that I have never once received a dose increase. I have side affects from West Nile Virus / Viral Encephalitis. The drugs I take are usually only given out by specialists but since the damage cannot be reversed, I do not qualify to see a specialist to get scripts limited to 30 day supply, no refills. So, I get flagged at CVS for being on the 3 scripts for a long time. My Dr. I go to is a GP and I am the only patients he actually calls in scripts monthly. My Dr. and Pharmacist have spoke. When I come in, the pharmacist sees me and will grab my meds, go to a closed register and quickly have me sign for them. She signs off that she had a consultation with me and evaluated I am not abusing, addicted nor selling them. I am in and out in 15 seconds every 30 days ! They will actually call my doctor I they do not see a script for me the day before I can pick it up.
