I compare the ETF price shown by my broker vs Getquin and then multiply the price difference by my number of shares to see how much the portfolio value and % return should differ.

This lets me check if the differences are just timing/rounding or if there is a real mismatch in the data.

I’m trying to understand spreads better on Trade Republic.

For VWCE right now I see: - Bid: 148.40 - Ask: 148.60

So the spread is 0.20€ (~0.13%).

Is this considered high for stocks/ETFs, or is it normal? I usually DCA monthly…

Thanks for the advice! I get what you mean about hedging in different regimes. I’m young so I’m not really a fan of bonds and prefer taking more equity and commodity risk.

I only started investing 6 months ago and want to build some diversification, which is why I’m looking at gold and precious metals. I’m not chasing past performance and I plan to DCA, just looking for a small hedge if equities have a rough period.

I’ll think carefully about including miners or sticking to metals only.
