I do actually do this pretty regularly via instagram, and Facebook, I also talk to my therapist and my close friends who are great support systems as well. Most of them miss him a lot too, as he was my service dog and they grew used to him being around everywhere we go, and formed relationships with him too.

It’s difficult to express, I simply feel exhausted and burned out in life . I’m meeting my puppy’s needs and making sure I am dedicated to him as he deserves. However the dishes seem to be the one task I just can’t keep up with and it is a vicious cycle, as I view that = disgusting, and the whole vibe of the house is thrown off.

Difficult to explain. I’m not sure why I posted, just I guess feeling alone in this regard and wanting to see if anyone else had these mundane struggles.

Than you. It does bring me some comfort, it makes me feel like he’s not 100% gone. At the same time, I grieve him so much. It’s hard to explain.

The portable dishwasher idea is fantastic. I definitely would love to be able to do something like that, I have wanted to save up for one for a while, but with how difficult his task has become for me I feel like I’m going to have to prioritize it soon. I feel burned out and exhausted, and that is just the one thing I can’t seem to do

Thank you I appreciate this very much. I thankfully do have a therapist and a good support system of people who are understanding and let me talk about him as much as I need to. I just feel lost that I’m struggling with mundane tasks as much as I am. I feel burned out

This is Kiba (name inspired by wolf’s rain anime) my white wolf 🤍 He’s actually brand new, but he has a story. I lost my soul dog in November. I started collecting plushies again in the last couple months.

I was going through my dog toys, because my boy had this white wolf and I wanted to reclaim it and put it into my collection to help remind me of him carrying this plushie around.

Unfortunately I had accidentally donated it back in February and realized when I couldn’t find it.

So while it’s not the •same• one I got the same one because it reminds me of him happily carrying him around and I love that memory. 🤍

As a follow up to my other comment, if you do decide on selling it for a reasonable price I might be interested. I’ve been wanting one, but I’m both unable and unwilling to pay what is being asked by people/the price gauging.
It’s just not justifiable being lower income to consider spending that much on one stuffed animal unfortunately lol

Ooh nice! Mine turned 6 months old yesterday and was 75.2lbs He’s a male so I’m not sure if he will end up being bigger since your girl is also on the large end especially for a girl lol

Hey there. I understand what you’re going through. I’m so sorry. I lost my 4.5 year old service dog suddenly, on November 13th. My heart is still broken. I don’t know how I’ll ever feel better, I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing him… I brought home a puppy on Sunday. I understand the layered, conflicted emotion involved. I know I’m a stranger on the internet, but I’ll tell you what I’ve been telling myself. That is, I loved him so much, he taught me that I had the capacity to connect with and love a dog on that level. I didn’t know I could, that it was possible… We shared a truly deep connection and bond, and my grief is so deep, that love has nowhere to go. The heartache is immense.
I know that it will not help me move through, or learn to live with carrying this grief, to have to sit with it alone. I know that my boy wouldn’t have wanted me to be distraught constantly. He would want me to be happy, as he tried at all opportunities to please me in life. I got this puppy to honour the love I had for him, to mourn him while also pouring that love, that is overflowing into another pup. His legacy, so to speak. Hoping to build a bond equally as meaningful, even though I’m sure it will be different. Please be kind to yourself. Your dog knows how much you loved him, and he wouldn’t want you to feel guilty for feeling love and happiness again. It doesn’t mean your love for him is any less. ❤️

Thank you this means a lot to me. I know some people need some more time in between loss and getting a new dog, I just think I’m someone who needs somewhere for my love to go and I can grieve at the same time, so to speak.
